Gears Anime

Hey forum.

So I was just browsing around the Gears page on Facebook and I noticed that the pictures in their deviant art album are actually very impressive.

I have come to the realization that the Gears universe would actually work really well in the form of an anime.

Any chance that us, the community, can make Epic realize this?

I mean, I have watched the Dead Space, Devil May Cry, and Halo anime adaptions, and it worked really well.

Making an mini anime series can also answer a lot of unanswered questions raised in Gears 2.

If they make an anime out of this, I would prefer an American style of anime, like the one they are doing with Marvel's Ironman.

What do you guys think?

I didn't mind the DMC and the first Dead Space, but the halo one was meh i liked some of the set styles but not all of them. But honestly i wouldn't mind an animated movie/mini series, its better then a live action movie, because if they did an animated movie/mini series they could just use all the voice actors. Will it happen........I dunno.

I can see this. They're some really good anime studios that could bring the dark side of Gears to animation. For me, as long as they get the original voice actors to do the voices that'd be fine by me.

But, the only thing that would put me on the fence would be that major fans will now have to read the books, comics, AND watch the anime to get the full universe xD

Personally, I like both styles.

But in terms of Gears of War, the darker tone of American styled anime (for example, the Dead Space anime), would fit the mood and tone of the Gears universe more.

And hey, games, comics, books.. bring em on! The more Gears content the better.

Sounds like a cool idea! They just have to get the original voice actors in it to make it authentic. I'll definitely be watching this if it comes out.

Japan has really great animators with a lot of styles. Actually, this needs to be done by Microsoft and search, as for the Halo anime, studios available to do it. I don't know if the Halo anime was a success, but I really liked it.

I don't know if anyone's watched the Supernatural anime, but that's the kind of style I'd like to see. And they used a couple of the actors for voices.

The Eye of the Beholder is something to consider, my friend. While I like both styles, I happen to prefer only certain types of Japanese and American art. A lot of the manga I choose is solely based on the artwork. They have to:

• Look like humans(NO! GJSAKDLGAING! PENCIL NECKS!).
• Have a good art style.
• Good character differentiation. I absolutely hate not being able to tell who is who, and going off hairstyles doesn't always help the situation. I usually end up getting more confused.

I'm a big fan of anime so I would absolutely love this. They have such a huge universe in this Gears world they've created, they could definitely do it and have plenty of interesting stories to tell.

Now that there is an announcement of a new Gears game, let's hope that Epic considers this.

They could do what EA did, making a Dead Space animated movie before Dead Space 2 was released.

Only if Toei or MADHOUSE do the anime production. Maybe they could do something with the Gears comics the same way GONZO did Top Cow's Witchblade comic/anime adaptation.
