    Default General Lighting/Shadows resources

Was hoping someone could refer me to a solid book or site that teaches what I need to know, regarding lighting and shadows.
How to achieve realistic lighting of all sorts (natural, artificial) and the "secrets" behind said-lighting and the shadows they generate.

Lighting has turned out to be quite the beast in recent weeks, and I havent tracked down any trustworthy resources yet.
Guess I shouldnt have said "General"... because the resource would need to revolve around computer graphics I bet, explaining techniques n' stuff...

*edit* Could use information on specularity maps, "shadow" maps, and baking lighting/shadow too... Guess that's a lot of shtuff.

    Anyway, would help!

    pre-Thanks

I'm looking for some similar info, I'd be very interested to see what comes up. I was wondering even more specifically if there is a way to re-create photometric data in the Unreal engine?

I've seen some of the WIP and completed works posted here and the stuff people come up with is incredible.

There are tutorials on YouTube called basic daytime lighting and basic night time lighting, which are great starting points. Also, EAT3d has a DVD out called udk lighting and post processing, which is quite in depth and very helpful.
