    The strangest thing,
    I have I think 2 versions of Knuckles installed.

    I play an Instant Action deathmatch game with him in it.
    Then I went to play some capture the flag,
    and I swear there were 128 knuckles on one team.
    That's right 128, I had to count them twice.

    It was supposed to be me against Knuckles and Sonic.
    Some sorta glitch, happens every time I go to a team based gametype,
    only if I don't look to see if bot roster has changed magically,
    because I can take them off the bot roster, but if I don't look,
    then there will be 128 bots on the other team. One of every other bot,
    and the rest of the 128 is Knuckles. LOL

    i think what must be the case is that you downloaded the original beta1 release which was actually the Sonic model with Knuckles in his files & then also installed one of the later betas in which Knuckles was separated into his own set of files. You could either reinstall the original solo Sonic model and overwrite or if you are a bit more UT2004 savy, simply open Sonic.upl(System folder) in Notepad, and simply delete the entire third line for Knuckles. I believe the problem might have something to do with two upl files adding two models with the same name. That said, 128 bots sounds crazy epic, lol! as far as smash, yes i do intend on putting together wario and bowser. i apologize, not much of a south park fan = / those models are great though.

    wow, you are awesome if you do bowser,

    i know 128 bots, i didn't think it is possible to put that many in a match, i thought ut2004 limit was 32,
    i really should make a video of that, it was totally mad,
    i was just messing around in ctf-january,
    and when i was swarmed like a bee hive of knuckles characters,
    and there was nowhere to run, they were everywhere,
    i went to spectate, and one of the knuckles models had the flag,
    but he had trouble running because he had like 30 other knuckles blocking his way,
    to the point that he couldn't move

    also, i couldn't help it,
    but if your do the characters you speak of in the above posts
    i'm sure your busy enough,
    but,

    back to topic, put together Mighty the Armadillo relatively quickly & adjusted Charmy Bee a bit:



    planning on releasing these models soon in the next beta!
    anyone know of a higher poly Mighty 3d model? this one by Jeck Jims seems pretty good though..
    also not happy with the current vector model from Sonic Generations (wayy too many triangles), looking for the model from Sonic Heroes..

    That's a lot of characters

    I remember this bug I got when playing in CTF-Chrome in UT2003

    I typed in addbot 1 and the map started to keep adding bots every half second until the game crashed

    I couldn't replicate it at UT2004 sadly

    I'm working on a Vector and Espio VP. I don't have a lot of resources to work from, just Shadow the Hedgehog and a couple of Sonic X episodes.

    The Knuckles multiplying has to do with duplicate upl entries. Delete one of your Sonic UPLs to fix it.

    that's awesome! looking forward to it! also look into Sonic Heroes for Charmy,Espio,Vector sounds. On the PC version, looks like all the voices are packed into a single AFS file. Apparently, you can rename the extracted AHX file to ADX and then convert to WAV. I believe there are some Dreamcast tools to accomplish these conversions. You can also ask wantwon, I know he used Sonic Heroes sounds for the Knuckles Voicepack.

    On a side note, does a Sonic voicepack exist? I believe there was a Sonic Voicepack back on Levels4You(down). Does anyone still have it? I asked the author, "i lost it a long time ago during data corruption on hard drive. Lost everything sorry bro "

    alright, i found the proper tools for converting SH_VOICE_E.AFS to WAV files for use in voicepacks.
    use AFS Explorer to extract AHX files from the archive (specific voice files using the chart). Renaming the AHX files didn't seem to do the trick. I had to use a special ahx2wav converter i found on X-cult forums. The resulting WAV audio files should also be useful for Sonic, Tails, Amy voicepacks etc.

    Thanks for reviving the Sonic voice pack (), it was made by alexpre888 (making his previous Tony Montana VP). There's only one sound clip with (!) mark I found, original author made it out.

    decided to put her on DeviantArt, there are plenty of Sonic fans on DA and maybe they could link me to better models.

    Hah, thanks. That would be very cool if you did that! Yeah, I love the classic era too, and I agree some characters "aren't needed". But I like some modern era/post adventure characters too. I'm exited for what villains you're gonna pump out.
    Man, it kinda makes me wanna pick up some Archie comics...I never got a chance to read them, despite my long history with Sonic. x__x

    i would like to update the Dr. Robotnic model with a modern one.
    i already have a finished Metal Sonic with shiny shader.
    i found a great Metal Knuckles model.
    got models for EggRobo, EggPawn from Sonic Generations, Silver Sonic from SADX,
    & hopefully the list grows a bit more. i saw an amazing Snively model on DeviantArt!

    Thank you for sharing this pack. After playing a few matches with the beta pack, I have noticed that one of Charmy's wings allows you to see through some things, including his body and his other wing. Vector's crouch walk, as funny as it is (haters gonna hate xD), needs to be changed so he isn't walking on his heels. I also think it's a good idea to make Charmy's fingers close to some degree if possible. I am working on a Vector voicepack, but I don't think I can do Espio, Charmy or any of the SatAM characters. I have an idea though: There are some people on youtube that will re-enact the Archie comics with voice acting, and maybe we can ask for their permission to use their voices, already from the videos, because it might be too much to ask for new recordings. I can't think of a better way to handle this task. What do you think about it? Btw, I'm adding "Find the computer room!" to my Vector VP somehow, just because it's too funny lol.

    yeah, i'm not skilled enough to fix his walking yet..
    closing his fingers should be a simple task, i'll definitely fix that before the next release
    arbee shared his Charmy VoicePack with me and it's quite "charming" lol. yeah, i think finding some volunteer voice actors would be ideal.

    ah that's so great to hear! it's words like that that keep modders going. thanks a lot! i really appreciate it. yeah, i'm starting to believe that i should work on the Resident Evil models next. i might create a separate thread for those guys, as this thread is already pretty crowded.


    i did some "homework" and read through the Ashura: Dark Reign thread & realized that the Sonic model i've been using must've been the early release beta they released back in November 2005. They even mention the texture issue behind his head. Their model must have gone through phases and phases of tweaks & changes. They even mentioned how he was rigged & re-rigged about six times. I'm sure the animations took forever. i'm happy to finally give credit where credit is due. The majority of my models utilize Sonic's skeleton & animations (Knuckles, Espio, Mighty, Charmy, Tails, & Amy) as well as Shadow's karma file. i'm gonna edit the original post crediting the original "Sonic Xtreme Fighters" team for their awesome work texturing, rigging, & animating the original Sonic model. Reading through their thread often puts me at odds about what i'm doing, but at the same time, they moved their project over to UDK (Unreal Engine 3) & they are highly unlikely to release their UT2004 set of models given their standard of quality. my models aren't extremely polished, and could be infinitely better with proper animations, but i simply, really wanted these characters in game with the already existing Sonic model.

    wow! i don't know much about voicepacks but that sounds outstanding! seems like you're quite comfortable with what you're doing. keep up the great work! honestly, next to Knuckles, Espio is prolly my favorite character of the Chaotix.
