Default Landscape Seams along the edges of Components

I'm having some weird issues with landscape.

    Here what i have done:

I have created a 1009 x 1009 landscape and after sculpting it, i can see seams along the edges of all components.(I have added the material as well but still seams)

One more thing, when i change values in DRAW SCALE, the collision on landscape doesn't work and player just falls through the landscape and also the landscape brushes gets buggy while sculpting.

    Any Clue on this?

Landscape has a bug where if you make any changes to the scale after creating it, it basically becomes really unstable. The only thing you can do is recreate it, and make sure the size you make it is the right size without scaling.

Epic left the landscape tool in basically as legacy support for older projects and the landscape tool is supposed to be the new way to create a large ground surface, hence the reason these bugs are still around.

Thank's Jessie, looks like i have to switch back to terrain. But what about the seams? I have seen many people using landscape doesn't get seams. So is that a bug in new release because everytime i create landscape i get seams on it. I am using the May version though.

Woops! I for some reason read your original question wrong and thought you were using terrain. The TERRAIN is the tool that had that bug, not landscape. Landscape is the new way to do it. I actually never encountered this with landscape, though moving it may have the same effect as terrain. Do you get this seam with a landscape that you do t move/scale after creating it?

Even without moving/scaling I get seams on the edges of components. So, I applied the material just to show that these seams are visible in material as well.

Now without sculpting, seams are still visible. I didn't touch any values. Just created a 1009 x 1009 landscape and added the material. That's all!

Make a landscape Material that has TerrainCoordinates in it. Using regular materials will give you those seams because they're not meant to be used on landscapes, but terrain coordinates in a material made for terrains will get rid of them.

Thank's Jessie, The texture seams are gone. I was using TextureCoordinates instead of TerrainCoordinates but this is not enough because now I'm having Light Seams on landscape

    Take a look at this.

Although they are slightly visible but hurting me a lot

I think that's because of the sharp drop off of the landscape and the angle of your lighting. Try messing with the settings in the world properties for light bounce and ambient occlusion, one of which I think is the culprit. Or smooth that edge a little bit so it's not so sharp.

Thank's. The edge was sharper and therefore it was creating seams. The seams disappeared by smoothing the edge.
