I think a better idea would be to remove all the stats in qm(Kd ect...) but still given xp/ribbons. Most people play qm becasue it's easy and there is bots. But without being given kd ect... more people would play ranked.

Imo it should be like this:

Social - Quick - Hardcore

Social and Quick would speak for itself but Hardcore would be what Ranked is today plus some minor changes like no indicator where the leader of Guardian is or 25 respawns in TDM for example. No overall leaderboards for Social and Quick but only viewable when in your friends list and just some minor stats. And kills on bots in Quick or Social shouln't count towards Seriously 3.0 (which is a joke anyway since you can boost it all the way through which makes it nothing compared to Seriously 1.0).

Hmm yes, no point in a quick match for those who don't have very much spare time. "I have 20 minutes to burn. Perhaps I'll have a QUICK MATCH on Gears before I leave. Of course this makes my opinion less valid than everyone else's and means I am less worthy of playing the game."

The average player in ranked is much better then the average quick match player, I think we can all agree on that. Now, no matter what game you play you want to have a chance to win the game and have fun while doing it. Putting all the good players with the decent will only lower Gears' overall population. I understand that ranked players want MORE ranked players to play against but that getting rid of quick match would just be corrosive to the overall game.

Perhaps Epic should try something along the lines of Halo where only a few playlists are ranked. This would make it so that the ranked players would be more compacted together. We don't need ranked for EVERY playlist if you ask me.

Warzone=Dead, CTL=Dead, Execution=Barely at 300 max playing ut, KOH= 500 Max, TDM=Average isay All the other playlist are pointless except alpha

Plus many players don't like ranked because of the tryhards who camp to win or teabag players all the time because they're 12 year olds (this really puts some people of, not because they all care but it's the same as avoiding idiots in real life). I personally don't care but a lot of people do. And the connnection also isn't always that good compared to Quick.

Quick match will stay. It does exactly what it says it's supposed to. Be a means to get a few quick games in before you have to go somewhere.

I'd say I was ranked match worthy but I never play it for the sole reason that quitting out in between every match is too time consuming and annoying. I'd rather just stick with a map cycle.

Camping is a sign on weakness/inferiority against superior players because of lack of good tactics (camping is not a tactic) and skill. And not everybody enjoys the Horde style of playing in this game, hence the reason why it puts so many people off. But considering your reply you're blind to this, just keep thinking it's because camping players are good or whatever. The fun factor (which to me is a good challenge) is the biggest reason why people tend to play more Quick instead of Ranked. I also enjoy ranked, but not the ones where teams can only camp.

It's not that it's dead, quick match absorbs most of the players so ranked is left behind with the rest of the players.

And QM also looks dead because people tend to leave quickly to search for new matches all the time which creates more lobbies than necessary and devides more players, a reason why there are so many botfilled games. This is also a reason why people think this game is dying while the overall numbers in TDM haven't really changed a lot in the recent months.

It needs to be one or the other.. just not both. I like both modes, like quick match because it leads from one map into another.. and ranked because of stacked teams and lack of bots.

Agree. QM is fun fast and out in the open battles. Ranked is to many campers and ragers.

Epic has already stated QM is going absolutely nowhere. It's not changing at all.

People play it because you can leave without penalty and the wait time for a game is short. If you don't enjoy the lobby you can leave at will and find another.

You can't force people to play something they have no desire to play.

This is a bad idea, without QM the population would dwindle into 3, maybe even 2 digits, many people only play QM, so you would be exiling half the community. Also, what about the people who only have 10-15 minutes, they don't want to spend that whole time trying to find a game. What should happen, is teams get put in Ranked, randoms/doubles into QM.

I would play ranked all the time if more people played it. i dont get why people dont play it. you get your preffered characater, you can vote the map you want, you get a little more xp. i dont see a down side besides people who quit alot.

I honestly just consider ranked more "serious" than quick match. I can see some people wanting a full experience beginning to end but at the same time, quick match just offers such a smoother experience.
