Halo Swat has people running all over the place and trying to pull off the headshot first, i severely doubt a game with Gears 3's pace will resemble one of the best playlist's in Halo. More likely to resemble TDM in COD, no thanks!

You should be able to get the event ribbon by playing over the weekend in any game mode. You don't have to play Stay Frosty.

They don't work wall tagged. They beep still but they don't explode. I'm loving this, change of pace is what I'm loving, may actually grind a couple thousand Hammerburst kills this week.

Felt the need to emerge from the shadows and sing the praises of Stay Frosty.
I really liked it the first time round and was waiting patiently/voting for it to happen again. I am liking it even more this time. Maybe the waiting has made it sweeter?
It's quite different from the usual Gears experience and variety is definitely not a bad thing. Being a bit lame with the Longshot, it's a nice opportunity to score a lot of headshots not to mention HB and pistol kills. Sure it has its flaws with spawn killing and camping but the former can be an issue in a lot of game types and the new changes to weapon pickups definitely help with the latter.
For those that don't like it, leave us to have our fun and play another game type. There's bound to be something you like better next week.

Other game types aren't nearly as campy as this is. In other gametypes people actually have a chance when they try to make a push on someone camping, in this event you're dead as soon you try to run somewhere because you're dead in seconds... I've played a few games with a friend, several of them ended not because the respawns ran out, but because of the 10 minute time limit...

Of coarse people are gonna camp with the hammerburst,its a LONG RANGE RIFLE!I dont think that most people have heard but the hammerburst is most effective at long range.why in the hell would you guys want people to use the hammerburst at close range when its more effective at long range?

Actually, yesterday a good 30% of my kills came from the boomshot on Hotel. I actually got the last two kills with that thing. It's a good insta-killer that gives a little leeway in the accuracy department. I understand what you mean though. Power weapons are about as useful as the weapons you have, but put you in a position where you can be killed easily. Those few seconds it takes to pick up are all the enemy needs in order to kill you. :O
