Way to condemn your friends, I don't exactly appreciate people just abandoning the game for something new but it's their choice, even for those that promise to play with you...

Okay, let me clarify as the suck part was mostly a joke.
I'm not saying that my friends suck at the game.
I'm saying that since most of them don't play Gears 3 anymore or are willing to compete, they suck as Gears 3 friends.
I'm not trying to condemn or chastise any of my friends as I love most of them dearly.

I feel your pain, a few of my friends bought this game and were terrible at it. In the end they got fed up. With the gears and left to play other games, and now I play by myself.
