Mostly they push you even if you aren't reloading or jamming the reload, so you better move in that case, to a cover of course jiji

I've wondered about this myself becuase i see people run around looking for the last guy jamming non stop trying to get the guy to show himself. Yet they often seem to be able to react, now i know why. I prefeer stealth coming up on them myself, sure there's footsteps but not everyone catches you.

This was in Gears 2 also, but it's harder to pull off in Gears 3. You either jam or do nothing.

It's basically to trick your opponent to push you by hitting the reload at the end of the bar so the Jam is almost non existent so the enemy pushes at their own peril.

Arrr yeah i know that one, its had me a few times in the past. I'm a little more careful now. I prefer to Fake the weapon, Properly Jam the gun in hand but when they push quickly swap out to a different gun, you have to be quick though and make sure you jam the rifle or have 2 shotties.

nice little tactic but if people can see you, like in the clip in OP, and they are experienced then they will know you did succesfully get the reload off. If you wait till it passes the active marker then it does not react as a jam, but if you jam before the active marker it takes about 3 seconds to reload.

if people wear really good headsets, i wear PX5's Turtlebeach, they can tell between active-regular-jammed.

Not trying to troll or take away, cause this does work, but its situational.

I can say that I never knew this. I get actives almost every time. Never even thought to not get it. LOL. I do listen for those words at times and will push when they jam. Now I may have to think about it. Good stuff.

Ha i did this yesterday for fun with the SOS on Ranked TDM trenches, ended up getting 3 kills in a row by fake failed reloading twice with the SOS.
