Ladders in Europe

I've recently got back into Gears and looking for a fun ladder me and some mates can join, that is based in Europe.
Can't seem to find any that are active. If there aren't any active ladders, how do you go about getting friendly scrims?

Thanks for that, seems we've missed out on this season. Can't find out when the next one starts though.
Is this as active as it gets for Europe?
I'm usually a pc gamer and used to finding scrims through irc very quickly for funwars etc, are there no sites that have a quick play feature?

Just remember not to take it too seriously as some of the teams on there will try and cheat when reporting scores. Either way, it's probably the best way to get back into competitive.

When you feel your team is strong enough, head over to Gowforum.net. That's a good place to find scrims against the better teams in Europe.

Yeah had a look at gamebattles, heard a lot of negativity towards it due to people taking it way too serious and always disputing games. Quick match seems dead as well. Might give the ladder a go anyway.
Is there an irc channel or anything similar where teams go on to arrange scrims quickly? Or is this done just on forums?

I'm pretty certain most console players haven't heard of mirc...try messaging people you fond online with a clan tag saying '4v4 scrim?' or something, i get spammed with those all day long! Gamebattles it taken way too seriously and as you said, lots of sad teams cry and dispute when they lose, and some will even IP flood...
The WGL is alot better run, but you have to register within the small windows between each season, and you then have to play a match each week.
Try going on the wgl site and messaging some of the teams asking for friendly scrims so you can both practice, you will definitely get responses!

totally agree with that very good teams on there but there are allways scrims to be found

Nah, I've never been part of any clans on xbox. Might lookout for some now uni's finished though.
