    Default Foliage Texture Issues

    Hi there,

I apologise if this has been asked before but the answers Ive found so far havent worked for me so Im requiring a bit of extra help. I am currently in the last few stages producing a map for my final year assignment at university and have just encountered an issue. The flowers and grass that I have painted on the map using the foliage tool, once I am in the game itself, the textures drop off and I only see the blue and white chequered texture. However, when playing in the viewport it works fine.

It also works fine when each of the meshes is placed directly from the content browser. The game level file is current located in the content folder so I am struggling to see where I am going wrong.

    Any help is greatly appreciated,
    Thank you.

Same here... I ended up using the "static mesh mode" for placing foliage. As a plus I got better performance too.

Are your meshes and materials in the level package file? Or a separate assets package file?

To be perfectly honest, i'm not sure how to tell. But i think you might be onto something, considering every mesh i used in that package has problems with its material. But there are several meshes in it's parent package(if you may call it that) that does work properly.
