Skinning 2 objects to one bone (3DS MAX)
I have a problem with skinning 2 objects to one bone. I am trying to animate gears and tires on an aircraft. I want the gear and the tire to retract, so what I initially did was I attached the tire to the gear, and I animated the gears retracting. It worked in 3ds max but the tire I have attached to the gear dissapears when I export to UDK. So then I tried skinning the gears and the tire to the same bone. But when I animate the gears retracting the tire doesn't move with the gears.
The problem is that I need another bone for the tire so it can rotate when the aircraft is taking off so I can't just make one object out of the tire and the gear and then skin them to one bone.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?
