Raven down 24/7 perfect example of why stats ruin quick Match

Trying to have fun in Quick Match Raven Down 24/7 is tough because of the xp and people playing for stats.

If there was no stats and less xp people would play for fun.

Yesterday me and a mate (and 3 bots) managed to get a stacked team we were playing against to do shotty battles for around 6 rounds until they started to lose them they started shooting us in the back so it was back to sweating it with my pistol and getting angles while they just camped!

I guess what I'm trying to say is that the reward for playing to win vs playing for fun is completely unbalanced and brings out terrible play styles in people.

Is it just me or is anybody else experiencing this?

It's like that in both QM and Ranked. It's a 5 man stacked, they are gonna want to win.

Stacked teams have fun winning, not much there can be done about it.

You misunderstand me. We were having shotty battles and they just blasted us sneaky in the back and it was back to the usual grind. For example if I'm in a stack in raven down we just send one person in at a time to see if they can clutch or get the whole team to chase them for fun or we hide in the van we just have fun. If we lose, we lose it doesn't bother us.

The other team didn't get behind us in a flanking manoeuvre we were having shotty battles and they just randomly killed us. If there was no stats or records what would be the point of winning. Only the way and style you play the game would you be remembered, not sitting behind a corner or camping just waiting for the other team to make a mistake, that should be reserved for ranked.

No it shouldn't just be reserved for Ranked. People want to see their stats on QM and they want to play to win. Maybe you should play private for shotty battles, because there is no reason why people should shotty battle in public and not just kill the opponents.

Yeah I'm trying to explain myself as best I can haha, but yeah that's it. We were just having shotty battles and they realised they were losing so they just blasted us in the middle of a battle and it was back to square one.

No there shouldn't. Quick isn't a casual screw around playlist. It's merely a more flexible efficient playlist. The goal is to win. Regardless of qm or rm.

LoL, yah. I think the OP's point was BOTH team AGREED to play Shotty Battles only. But the STACKED TEAM changed only because they started to lose. They cared more about their STATS than what was agreed upon.

But the community is right also, you can't really TRUST people's word in a online multiplayer world. People will play how ever they like. That's just a fact of life.

Meh, I just play GOW2. I find no enjoyment in GOW3 it just makes me rage, it is even more inconsistent than GOW1 and that's saying something. I enjoy GOW2 alot more and find it alot more satisfying.

Maybe they got tired of playing that way and decided to end it, I know you must feel hurt because they didn't consult you first and then sit down to have a good talk about it. I don't get why people think this way, there is a reason there is first place and second place one team had to lose and they didn't want it to be them. This game isn't about everyone getting the same reward they out smarted you and your butthurt about it. Get over it. Quick match is competitive whether it upsets you or not.

i gotta say i played a few of these on friday and it was waay too campy for it to be an all gnasher. i would find myself running to the other teams spawn thinking my dumb teammates were behind me but guess what they werent. needless to say i didnt play this again this weekend.

Removing stats will NOT change this. I don't play for stats. I play for fun.

I think Raven Down 24/7 is pretty fun, I laugh my @ss off when I headshot someone with my snub, especially when he's running or evading, but I also laugh my @ss of when I get shot in the head with the snub.
It's fun to think that a weapon as weak as the snub pistol all of a sudden headshots you with one shot, especially when you miss your shot and it just flies through the air by itself doing close to no damage at all. I think it's hilarious.

I get pissed off the same if I go 3-7 stats or no stats.

My having fun in this game is completely irrelevant to stats.
All stats do is track how well you are doing, or vice versa.

This. Although they were well within their rights to do what they did. I don't do shotty duels in public matches for this reason. I don't trust anyone.
