CARMINE figure!!!!!

So, I have a pretty avid gears of war figures collection, and have been looking for an Anthony Carmine for close to five years now. And TODAY WAS THE DAY. I frequent ebay checking for newly listed figures seeing as someone here on the forum told me they found a Raam vs Kim for like 40 bucks or close to it. And just about 10 mins ago now I sniped an Anthony carmine for 52 bucks, before people have a coronary.... its loose, but to be honest I like to display my figures anyway and looking on there for Anthony for bunches of years I've seen him new for 200 or over and i've seen loose ones no lower than 90 bucks. I can't wait to get him and put him on display, Now I just need a tru exclusive grenadier that I can give a sniper to, seeing as thats who sniped carmine in the first game. I actually talked a guy down to 22 on one of those and then passed...Now that I can't find one I feel so dumb. I would also like to throw in that I got a Series 1 cole in the box last week for 25bucks!!! So pumped.


Post Script : So now I ask you, what is your latest gears collection addition/s and what kind of deals have people struck finding some of these rare pieces?

Got my A. Carmine about 3 years ago, brand new along with 4 other figures for £40. Sold the Baird for £10 as I already had him so £30 divided by 4 figures = £7.50 each figure. The ebay seller obviously had no idea how much Carmine was worth. It was a Buy it now listing and was up for a total of 25 minutes, lol!
Got Series 1 Cole and Locust Sniper boxed from GAME for £2.50 each. They're my cheapest figures.

I'm not known to be a super avid collector but any addition to my small Gears collection gets me excited ^~^

Also really good finds friend. Wish I had that much luck. Closest thing I got was a ticker for 2 bucks at FYE. Woulda bought multiple if they had any!

I just won an auction for BRAND NEW in box 2 Therons with no helmet, a Boomer, a Flame Grenadier, Jace, a Grenadier Elite, Theron Armor Marcus, and Theron Armor Dom. Was 150 bucks, but I'm planning on flipping a few of them to make up some of that money. All in all, I'd say it was a good buy.

Same here, I've only got 10 Gears figures and I'm content. Cause I've Got Marcus, Dom, Cole and Baird from Gears 3 along with C. Carmine. so pumped. and I love my Col. Hoffman (Gears 2) and Gears 2 Marcus Fenix. and my Gears 2 COG Soldier V.2.

Ive got quite the gears collection myself. And to be honest, i think ive gotten excellent deals on almost everything i have. To list some..

-MIB Series 3 Marcus Fenix (golden lancer varient) - 50$
-MIB General RAAM vs Kim - 45$
-MIB TRU Exclusive Grenadier- 20$

Patience really pays off when it comes to collecting. I know its hard sometimes to pass up a rare item that pops up once in a blue moon, but i dont think its worth spending your life savings over. I was also lucky enough to find one person that was parting with his collection of figures. So i listed all the ones he had that i didnt, and i was able to get all of them within a couple transactions at a very good price.

Im still on the hunt for figures like Anthony Carmine, General RAAM, and Lt. Minh Young Kim and more recently the Baird and Anya varients, but im waiting to find them at a cost that i am comfortable paying.

So since I read this post I've been sitting back like a snake in the grass. I've recently had a bunch of sugery's so I'm outta work and living off of your bank account really makes you learn to manage money. So many times have I had to slap my hand away from clicking buy it now on a few items I've wanted. BUT TODAY woooo hooo TODAYYY baby. The patience as you said, PAID off. I just ripped off a few buys that are my best deals yet.


As I was sitting there a clicking newly listed a seller popped up with 3 figures. Theron (no helmet), Cyclops, and Palace Gaurd. All three out of box but I display mine anyway. For 43 dollars. I was pumped as I thought that was a pretty good deal and I've wanted to try and grab a few Palace Guard's to prepare myself for whenever they come out with a Myrrah figure. Then just as I finished purchasing that I found what could be one of the greatest deals in HISTORY of Figure collecting

I already have a Raam and Kim so I'm most likely going to sell those two and end up making my money back and some on this to buy more figures. I am absolutely PUMPED right now

Not to mention my Retro Lancers that came yesterday and are completely amazing.

Oh and one last thing. I took my extra lancers and Painted them team metal and ivory and cannot wait to see how they look on display
