I actually never activate right at the start. There are plenty of times when there are more than enough enemies on the map and it doesn't work. In one of the "facts", I mentioned the chickens on Old Town... and I guess Cove, being targeted first, and they're always on the map. I played Private Horde yesterday evening on Old Town, built a Sniper Attack, same problem.

He's actually right, though. You can headshot things like Boomers, Bloodmounts, even bosses (headshotting Berserkers, Gunkers and Savage Corspers ftw) if they've sustained enough damage that an active Longshot headshot will kill them. That combined with the active reload tidbit really helps if your teammates won't let you get enough headshots on public Horde, plus the fact that the command center doesn't one hit kill anything past wave 10. :d

Still, the thing about the chickens is hilarious. I've actually had them eat my chainsaw on one occasion, which led to me getting killed.

Savage Hunter and Savage Marauder are both drone class locusts. Look at their skin color/texture it is the same as a drone. Non-savage hunters are grenadier class.

The Gnasher normal reload animation (not active) will always reload 8 shots even if you only needed 1.

there used to be a glitch where you were able to chainsaw players whilst in the silverback. i think it's patched now though.

Calling out a few things, and could add more if I wasn't so poop-brained.



Bloodmounts CAN revive downed Drones/Grenadiers. Similarly, in CTL, whoever is holding the enemy leader can revive nearby teammates without dropping the leader.


You can insta-gib heroes in 3/4 ways. Either Retro Charge as a Savage Drone, tag them with a Frag as a Savage Grenadier(you could even Bag-'N-Tag during the Easter Beast event, which resulted in a 1-hit kill to anyone nearby), or get a direct impact Digger shot as a Savage Boomer.

I guess I wasn't positioned correctly, its hard to revive someone when YOU GOT 5-8 people shooting at your ass.

In a Beta Build of Beast Mode, the COG Gears were Gears 3 Style and Tai and A. Carmine were Hero's, also the Grenadier Elite(they just Re-skinned him and gave him the Savage Grenadier model, and Savage Drone Voice)Grinder, and Reaver's were playable characters.

Cool thread but the thing with the theron elite is not true. I'm not lying when I say this but I have played as him alot and i man alot a good 600 matches. But there was this one time on Blood Drive where a crafty bugger of a bot shot my helmet off! It was pretty cool but his face looked just like any other theron, I always thought his face was black from what I read in the descriptions and probaly is meant to be since it is clear that his helmet isn't meant to be shot off. Oh yeah and if you were wondering my copy of gears is glitchy but in good , adventurous way.

Make sure you keep your distance from a Drudge when it mutates it's arms. If you're too close it will pick you up and literally rip you in half.


Thought I'd post this one seeing as I've only seen it happen once. When ever you get that chance give it a try, if you haven't seen it. Entertaining to watch and it's bloody hilarious.

I just tested it. Turns out... you are correct. Used the HB/Digger execution with gore off. Sorry ChocolateBacon.

In the Cove, there is a Radio that sings the Prescott Rap from Campaign, you need to go inside the building called "The Hooch".

Big Head Mode affects chickens too.

Butchers with Big Head just look adorable!

When Wild Tickers Eat a Smoke Grenade, they have the light on top of them signaling they are friendly even though they are not.

Onyx Guards Do Not Talk in Horde(Decoy) or Beast

In Beast, Cog Gears cant be insta-gibbed with the Gnasher or Sawed Off(Easter Beast Event)

With Flower Blood, after you execute someone they disappear.

MeatShielding someone causes characters with removable hats or Event head wear(Top Hat, Bunny Head, ect...)

When playing CTL or Guardian, you can change your character mid-match if you are the Leader
1) When your the leader Change your Character 2) finish the Round 3) next Round(In the Same match) you will be Marcus/Drone or if the Character you want is Pre-cached, him/her.

Right... but my original post is that it CAN'T be SHOT off, not that he couldn't lose it, while every other Locust can get their helmets shot off. But w.e.
