Nintendo have a different strategy to MS/Sony, and leave them to compete against each other for the 'gamer' share of the market. Nintendos demographic is a much wider net that focuses on family and party audiences. They really don't care about graphic splendour as long as it looks pretty and everyone is having fun jumping up and down infront of the family tv.

That's exactly what made Nintendo lose sales badly over the last few years and they know it. Unfotunately, they may not have learned their lesson thoroughly enough.

Nintendo's hardware sales have declined because they haven't had a new offering since 2006 - they have however still been profitable until now with the exception of the previous financial year.

The "gamer" market still love nintendo if they'd only love them back.

Yeah, Nintendo has always made their games more to the family-friendly side, but at least they used to keep their hardware up to spec so 3rd parties could make "gamer" games on their consoles.

I don't know the exact word for this, but those particles somewhat give me this feeling, there seems to be a lack of very tiny swirls.
