Why does it rain on bullet marsh and slab?

there are no clouds in the sky on either map so why does it rain? i have never visited sera so im not familiar with the ecosystem there.

Bulletmarsh is perpetually dark, so I thought it was at nighttime.
Or the Kryll block out the clouds so you can't see them, but the rain comes througgh.

No idea about The Slab.

maybe the atmosphere of Sera is further out than Earths, Causing the clouds to be higher...Then the rain that fell from the clouds would take quite a bit longer than earths to hit the ground, and already here on this planet the rain takes a while to hit the ground sometimes causing it to rain when there is no clouds over head...Could also be how razor hail has enough time to get as large as it was.

I wouldn't want it changed regardless. I like environmental effects in the Gears games, it's one of the reasons I play the game.

When I play on both Bullet Marsh and The Slab, there are obvious lightning flashes and sound effects. I like the rain.

It rains on Jacinto now, too. Of course there's clouds and an eco system on Sera. Have you never played Sandbar?

They just have some more wacky Sera-exclusive weather effects, like razorhail.

it is possible to rain without visible cloudcover, I've seen it rain on a bright and sunny day, the rain clouds existed they just weren't in view. sunlight/blue sky was able to penetrate the storm clouds and the rain can fall diagonally or whichever direction the wind blows it.
plus on the slab isn't that a prison island surrounded by ocean? it could be ocean spray hitting the rocks surrounding the island or a tropical type monsoon.

It would be pretty sick if each map had a day/night setting. Then Jacinto and BloodDrive would be truly nostalgic. EPIC would probably make up some BS about memory though...
