Making a Video

Hi Guys and Gals,

Just as the title suggests i was considering making a video of myself on Gears 3 just as a hobby while i am playing.

I just need some help in what to use to 'film' myself with. I was considering using me laptop's webcam as it has very good quality on it or using my phone. So i was just wondering if there were any better ways of doing this and do you have any suggestions for me?

best thing to do would be to get a Capture Card, while your camera may be good, it will still look crummy when you upload to youtube/generic video hosting website. If you don't have a lot of money just get an EasyCap, it's what I have and it's pretty decent quality, only £15. Hope this helped (look on Ebay).

cheers m8, ive had a quick look and may consider getting one but what does it actually do - does it record what you have played (i'm new to this sort of stuff so these may be basic questions)

capture cards use your video cables and so record the video output that your tv receives.

Get a HD PVR and be done with it, but your computer needs atleast I3 processor bare min. for editing or you will have serious lag trying to edit.
