An Idea for a Theron Guard

This guy, he is already on disc; Voice(Generic Theron Voice), Render, and Model.
Just Unlock his Character for everyone with a Server Side Update, it's a Theron Elite with a different helmet and different model, ao why throw a perfectly good character away?

The difference between this and the current one:

Also the This Theron Elite can be a throwback to the people who used the Theron Guard in Gears 1/2/PC and also has some differences between models.(Armor tone, Helmet, no Chin/Neck piece, No shoulder HUD lights, Resembles the BETA savage Theron, ect...)

A google search displays him ingame (source website is a modding site - so only linking to the image). Mentions him using it online with other players:

There is no Excuse for him not being a playable Character(Besides paying for him of course)

They just need to do this and he's good(Add him to the Character Select)

He doesn't need a TU or anything.
He's on the disc (like you said) - MPCH_SavageTheronBlackMP
They just decided to make a new Theron for RAAM's Shadow - dunno why.

He can be used by modders and all.
They can unlock him the exact same way they unlocked ThrashBall Drone before.

I honestly think he should be made as a individual character DLC. He's functional, so there's zero reason NOT to use him.

I'm all for new characters, but he does look a lot like the Theron Elite that's in MP and I think it would be hard to notice him next to other Theron Elites. But like I said, new chars. all the way.

To me, he looks like the Savage Theron with a classic Theron helmet or ever RAAM wearing a classic Theron helmet or something. lol Still, I would love to have ANYTHING new for this game whether it's characters, weapon skins, maps, or campaigns (would prefer more of the 3rd and 4th of those ).

Same can be said for the bolter and cyclops... they are both on the disc because they are used in horde.. its actually a pretty old point that tons of people have made already.. I don't know why they will not concider adding more for the locust side to choose from.

You should make this a poll. I would love to use this one over the current theron elite.

Edit: Just had an Idea. Call Him "Savage Theron Elite". Why? Well because, It looks like he went savage. Over time His armour colour faded out, He maybe lost his helmet, and maybe even the lights ran out of energy and turned off.

Bolter and Cyclops do NOT have a MP ready model. Models from Beast/Horde/Campaign are different than MP.

This Theron however IS a MP ready model. He has a bio (same as the Theron Elite), has a MP bio image and has his MPCH model and sounds.
To be enabled is a mere line of code.

Make a bio
Make a display image
Make a UI image (character headshot that appears in Wingman and Lives left area)

And lastly and most important - make him a forced download for everyone as if you don't all of the previous actions will be nulled as people would crash if they didn't have him.

Well Cyclops has a Biography like you said so that's a bonus, same for Skorge. They just need Artwork, sound package etc. Well Skorge will take the Kantus voice and Cyclops will take the Drone voice so there's no problem there. I am sure EPIC can do it......Well they have with other characters.

No the current black theron is way cooler, his helmet looks L33T!!!!! LOL. But if he is on disc there is no reason to just keep him there really.

Then the most important part - make them a forced download.
I can pretty much guarantee Skorge and Cyclops do have a MP model ready but for whatever reason they were cut.

This Theron Elite is 100% ready. Has portrait, bio, MPCH_ model, can be precached and everyone has him. Modders can already use him - few months back I've seen him used.

Yep the only 2 remaining MP ready characters are Thrashball Drone and Theron Elite (rename him to Onyx Theron Guard)

Ripped contents. Wanted to use the models in other games. For example in Quake 1 using a modified engine (Darkplaces) - Nailgun -> Hammerburst II -- Super Nailgun -> Hammerburst
Even made them function like they do in Gears. Have to tap fire the HB2 and the HB1 is a 6 round burst.

Well I reckon Epic are considering them with the amount of people who want them, and because of this hopefully they will be completed and become playable quick!

It doesn't need DLC, The Character is already on disc, all he needs is a Server Side update to include him in the Character Select.

Yep. Epic could unlock him for everyone tonight if they wanted. No download needed. They can unlock him the exact same way they did the Thrashball Drone.
I've been wanting him added because he's a real Theron Guard - but in Onyx armor. We presently don't have that variant. We have Sentinel and Savage helmets - but still no Guard version.

It would be Dream Come True(For Theron Users, and people who loved the Theron Guard/ Gears 3 beta Theron, and me)
We have the Sentinel, the Savage/Elite, but still no Guard? He was there in Gears 1, Gears PC, Gears 2, and the Gears 3 Beta, but Removed in Retail?(Cyclops and Skorge were NOT in Gears 1, Gears PC, or the Gears 3 Beta.)

EPIC are being dumb on this one. Two characters are ready for multiplayer - Thrashball Drone and Theron Elite LE. Sell them in a pack for 240MSP (for both) and there you go. Just to make it really clear:

1. Unlock characters for download via DLC for 240MSP
2. Each download works out at exactly $3 (conveniently)
3. At this moment in time, there's about 8,500 people on the Standard playlist. Let's say half of them buy the DLC (under-estimate probably)
4. $3 x 4250 = $12,750

WHY NOT!!!
