For the Horde medal and friendly fire not unlocking

Hi,
My For the horde medal will not unlock no mater what dificulty I do.
Have 10 long hauler ribbons, and have done horde on Insane several time, but it still has not unlocked.
also completed 4 person coop and friendly fire mutator has not unlocked.

Please help

did you get reset at anytime? getting reset has been known to cause this issue

I just did campaign four player co-op and i didn't get my friendly fire mutator. I have been reset and i recovered most of my stuff but somehow i don't get my mutator back even though i have the achievement for campaign.

At the bottom of the OP you will see a section on accessing locked unlocks I was reset myself and had to use this method too it works but make sure you follow the steps carefully

I appreciate the help but i don't think that method will work because i got reset a few months ago and i used cloud to recover my progress a few days after that and i just tried getting my mutator back yesterday. :/

I didn't come back to the forums untill just over a month ago once I had posted about my reset ( back in october ), so it was several months after my reset that i used this method to be able to get the unlocks back.

when you used the cloud to recover your progress had you got the friendly fire mutator before and did your cloud progress not have it ? if you did have it before and lost it when you used the cloud to recover your progress this method will make it so you can get the mutator again as I believe its achievement connected

Unfortunately with a reset,some things will not be obtainable until they "fix" it.Waititng myself.No friendly fire or campaign "Onyx" for multiplayer even though I finished the campaign on insane twice.Before reset did it and had the medal now after,gone and cannot get.I did try the method mentioned above,did not work so trying to be patient and waiting for word or a fix from Epic.Luck to you o.p. and sorry about your reset.If I can ever help you out,hit me up.Love the horde.

when you did the method did you lose all the collectables in campaign and do you now get achievements from things you have done before like reaching lvl 5 ?

Can't really remember if I lost collectibles or not.Was not really trying to get them.But everything wiped clean except medal I was wearing"Major Malfunction" for Insane.All special skins statyed,IO,LG,MISSION,Chrome and Gold or anything earned from my wallet or from Gears 1 or 2 like Vet Gear or skins.Anything earned in 3 gone.Took a month off and now 3 months or so later,back to where I left off on New Years Eve prior reset.Sucks but,what are you going to do,there is frickin Locusts everywhere and I'm needed....lol....

If you did the method and it took away all collectables then you then have the unlocks achievable so you will have to earn them again

Like I said,co-op campaign twice,even registers in the achievement roster as every act done,prologue as well,will not pop.Had it done prior to reset and was there but now,will not give the medal to me.That and ,can't get friendly fire mutator in horde for some reason.......

If you try the method again hopefully if will make them achievable not sure why you cant the them still tho

No way I am purposely wiping out any more progress on this account bro,once is definately enough.Just wiped the slate clean took a month off,changed the gt and now 3 months later all back just minus a medal or two,no biggie not going for 3.0 and never was but,some are and they are in the same boat.Not looking back atm,just hoping they do something or say something to eliminate the problem or,help more players going through it .Done here,ever want to horde,hit me up.Need to play a match before a fl request.peace.

This method did not work for me either. Hord is still locked. Goin to wait for a fix. Fingers crossed

This one was done still connected online. You can use the other detailed one for offline option. No need to clear the cache only if needed or necessary.

Play 1 private match so that you can update your files as well as the servers. Then head to the Menus and straight to the dashboard.

1) transfer your player data and campaign save to the usb, then log off and transfer your gamertag to the usb.

2) log in on the dashboard and start the game.

3) when you see the shield like symbol with EPIC logo on it remove the usb and ignore the message that pops up. let it run through till the part where it tells you to Press Start w/ the Gears 3 logo

4) Once you hit start go to your stats/awards and scroll through the tabs and go to the collectables and then to the achievements. Both should be empty.

5) From there (at the achievement tab) place the usb back and a message saying that there's a new storage device or device has changed. Press A to continue which should take you back to the title screen where it tells you to Press Start with the Gears 3 logo. Don't press start.

6) Head back to the dashboard and log off. Transfer just your gamertag back to your HDD [the game already placed your player data from the backup in the servers or cache but if you like you can transfer the one from the usb or keep it as a back up]

7) remove your usb and log back in and start the game. Check back to your stats/awards and you should see your collectables empty and you campaign progress is gone like you haven't even touched it.

You will still have your achievements under your stata/award [ war journal ]. The progress did reset themselves so you will see the boxes pop up even tho you already got the achievement.

All your mutators, medals, skins, executions, and medals you unlock should be intact. And their progress as well.

If these directions came from Epic direct and they supported this method,I would probably try again.That is the big problem with myself,not a hint or word of anything from them since release on this other than "working on it."I'm working on it myself,working on putting it behind me and just carry on.The whole situation is just wacked,plain and simple.Just want to game and have a blast,that is it.Cannot and will not take anything else from my "progress" like I said,once was too much AND more than enough.

the only progress that takes away is the campaign collectables you keep everything else

The method worked for me as well. Just make sure put the usb stick in on achievements tab in menu. I tried several times because thread at 1st wasnt specific as to where you put usb back in. Also i did offline method if that helps. I've helped several friends out with the offline method and its worked everytime.
