Default Figured out How Arcade Scores Calculate

So last night, after capping a few chapters, TwiMiniFamily was able to figure out the pattern in how your ACTUAL (meaning posted to leader boards) scores are calculated, and damn was it confusing. If it wasn't for the cap, and doing some math, and ALSO attaining a high score that posted to the leader boards, we would have not figured it out so easily. Nobody was able to give us any solid answers, we reached out to epic, made several posts, and never got an answer. So, hopefully this will help others.

For a score to save, you have to be in joinable public party it seems. You can be in private or public game. Scores are based off of your INDIVIDUAL score only, which is actually NOT calculated in game.

I guess what I would like to know, is if the team score is worthless, why is it the only score shown? It literally is for nothing, doesn't go on leader boards, and is a useless #, there's no benefit to knowing it. If the game is based off of individual score only, why doesn't it show an individual score? Without a cap card, or quitting the game to check the leader boards, you don't know what your individual score is, and on the leader boards, you will only know your score if you beat your previous best . Example, look at this picture, you THINK it shows my score, but it doesn't...

To ACTUALLY calculate my score, you have to take the 114,983. Multiply by 2.5, then multiply by .95 for mutators. This works out to 273,084 which can be confirmed on the leader boards as it is in fact my current "best". But, where does it tell me this score? It doesn't. So, this makes it extremely difficult to figure out your scores, especially when it shows the score of 146,000 but MY score was actually 273xxx. This screen shot was taken before the final calculation, which would have been 348,635. Again, this 348,635 means NOTHING, yet it is the only calculated score shown, anywhere, ever. This is why we had such a hard time figure out why our scores "weren't saving" until we captured the chapter, went back, and looked it over.

I'm expecting the #1 place for this chapter tonight, and if not, 100% over the weekend we'll have it. Using this same math, with hard mutators, I would have got the #1 score, and this is no problem as I have finished this chapter without dying with hard mutators many times. I'm expecting to kill it by quite a bit.

Look out for dust and two mini to take over the arcade leader boards!

it really isn't complicated, the score that counts to the leaderboards is your personaly score in the chapter multiplied by the difficulty and mutators
hence how i'm #2 for act 2chap 7 as i had 3 hard mutators on insane giving me my base score * 2.5 *1.3
if you have someone else in the game with you then all it's going to achieve is they take score off you and hence points, unless they hang back of course and don't even get any assits in which case you can get more as the bot's have less chance of getting an assist as well then as theres less of them
Gridlock remade in halo reach forge works with all gametypes can be found here

right, but my point is, you are never told your score, you have to manually calculate it. So fora long time, myself, and probably many others have thought that the TEAM score was in fact our score. You are never told your score, and if you don't do the math yourself, you will never know your score unless you happen to post a high on the leader board and watch it regularly. The score that counts, the game doesn't tell you.
