I'm still surprised that he was supposed to be 'Baird Train', yeah, he would be the Thrashball player instead of Cole. I think he is rich too. Anyway, I'll love to see more of him, after all he's my favorite character. Btw, he join to the COG just because Cole do it, as you can see they're really good friends.

His family is rich not sure what his moms did but the books said his dad was a judge/magistrate. He wanted to be an engineer but parents mostly hi moms threatened to hold back his inheritence if he didnt enlist. He didn't meet Cole til he was in the army Cole interrupted a fight where baird was getting jumped in the bathroom and had his head flushed in toilet. Cole started looking out for him cuz no one else could deal with bairds attitude

They didn't meet until after Baird enlisted.

Sam "liked" Dom, but Dom couldn't get over the loss of Maria. Baird and Sam have some sort of connection.

I think Baird, having mellowed out even more with Dom's death, will be there for Sam and eventually they'll get together. But there's still the possibility that they'll get that house and knock back the suicide pills.

Baird is my fav character, and while we get a basic summary about his childhood, enlisting into the COG and meeting his best friend Cole, I don't think we see an intimate insight on his life. I personally don't stray far from the games though. :P

I don't think Baird as a character has enough depth to stand alone. He's too much of a prick. He's even worse in the novels than he is in the games.

I have to disagree about Baird being uninteresting without Cole, but I do agree that it would be more self-serving to have their own adventures together. Baird has alot of layers that can be creatively explored if you peel them back one at a time, but it has to be done right. Granted, his relationship with Cole does explore other aspects of his personality, but there are still plenty of internal/external conflicts, flaws if you will, within Baird that begs to question as to how or why he has introverted tendencies, other than just typically stereotyping him as a self-serving a-hole.

I've been suggesting that the two have their own miscellaneous adventures for awhile now, but I doubt this will happen. This is why we have fanfics.

I'm just not sure how to start or set it. :/ My mind is drawing a blank for ideas. This is how it was for my respite story though, and I won the little monthly contest with that. With enough time thinking about it, I'll start getting some good cohesive ideas.

I liked Baird. He's my favourite character.
He is explored quite a bit in the books but not to the same extent of others.
When Cliffy B mentioned a possibility of DLC surrounding a fan's favourite character, I'd like it to be him.
Cole is all right, never been a big Dom fan but the most moving moments in this game have surrounded him and Marcus is interesting in his own way.

You could start it following the conclusion of GoW3; the stage is already set, you just have to consider where the existing characters would most likely be doing as they begin to salvage and rebuild. You may have to read Anvil Gate and Coalition's End to get some more insight on Samantha's quirks and peeves.
