I've been brainstorming some ideas for "Void".

I was thinking maybe a skin which gives the illusion you're looking into a empty, infinte "balck space". Almost as if the weapon itself is a blackhole or a representation of the universe. It doesn't have a physical form and looks 2 Dimensional from any percieved angle.

It sounds whack, I know, and is probably very difficult to create. Though I'm not doubting your capabilities, if that's what it sounds like.

I've got a thought in my head, but I'm struggling to physically 'picture' it if you know what I mean; you're right in the sense it would probably be animated - there's another hurdle I'll have to work around - another being quality of upload. Chances are to do it properly would mean a pretty heavy file size - I wouldn't be able to upload that anywhere that I currently know without tremendous loss of colour and quality (which is why most of the animated skins I make don't end up being anywhere but idle on my hard drive - that number is over 10 as it stands).

Hurdles aside, I look forward to when I sit down to try and figure the thing out in Photoshop. I don't want to butcher the idea, so I'll be pestering your inbox every now and then to see if we're on the same page, or chapter, or book. xD

Hopefully it will be a greater testament to a milestone than the last.





On an entirely unrelated note, I was very-half-thinking of 'releasing' the Lancer PSD template I made to create all my skins. I would have to put a few tutorials out on how to use it effectively and whatnot (it's nowhere near as simple as the current available template I'm afraid (the simple 'Overlay' PNG provided I believe by BigBoss)), but I am sure that there are much more creative people than I lurking around without the time (the templates took me a good few hours each - although in the grand scheme of things, that's a fractional amount of the time I've spent on this thread) to 'start' from scratch. I've done that, so I'm sorta thinking of allowing people to create their own to put their ideas forward.

What do people think? I'll take everything into consideration.

P.S. It would not be a 'resignation' - I'd still continue, unless the niche became over-fulfilled (the drawback of putting the template out there for all) with people much more adept than I, of which I am sure there would be many.
