Petition to keep KOTG permanent

I know that weekend events rarely ever become permanent but I think it should take the place of stranded king of the hill or alhpa king of the hill. Who even plays that gametype anyway? The playlist in my opinion is a lot of fun and adds objective to the usual gnasher events which gives it a change from the usual execution. The pistol can get annoying but it isn't something I'm going to moan on about as I don't really care if people want to make the game mode less fun for themselves.

Anyway, if you agree state why you like it. If you disagree state why you dislike it. I just want a general feel if the rest of the community also like this playlist.

Alright then, fair point. Does stranded koth really need a playlist though? It should be like players choice but with stranded rules so only one playlist is needed.

It is fun for a weekend event, I'll give you that, but I think it should stay that way.

There are far too many play lists as it is. This will only crowd into an already too large of a variety. Hardly anyone plays anything other than TDM/KoTH/Guardian. Weekend event should remain a weekend event. There have already been several Gnasher only events in the past 5 weeks. 4/5 weeks to be fair. We need a change of pace here.

On my side its a T-Bag party, a Sponge Fest(Everyone is playing as Myrrah, Anya, Bernie, Valera, Sam, Civilian Anya, Kantus and Savage Kantus[LE], Most people use the pistol, loads of full teams dedicated to sponging and T-Bagging, We already got 3 Gnasher Only Events in a row, then we got Bang Bang(Should have stayed Longer, like A Week or 2), then we get this Gnasher/Pistol Event.

If they switched out pistol for smoke grenade I'd enjoy it more. I abuse the pistol too, but I've seen downs in like 4 shots with an actived pistol...pretty cheap kill in all gnashers ya know?

No, the playlists don't need to be diluted by another gnasher-centric game type. It was an event, that means it'll come around again along with 24/7 Raven Down and Get Gnashty. All three were very heavily tooled toward the gnasher. Let's mix it up for a change.

I've been playing Gears since Gears 1 first launched. I hated how both Gears 1 and 2 turned into a Gnasher dominant game. I was good at those games, and I'm good at Gears 3. If anything, the Gnasher is the easiest weapon to kill with.

They need to bring back the original Zeta Execution: 5v5, first to 5, NO Hammy/Retro/Sawed Off, no stopping power. That was a great game type.

Brothers to the End was unique in the way that it's a 2v2 gametype. No other playlist offers that. King of the Gnashers is basically a stereotype of what King of the Hill is, which is shotgun-heavy.

I know you love this gametype, but honestly, I'm sick and tired of these threads. Every week someone posts this copy/paste thread, which always goes along the lines of "I think this playlist is great, I love it, who wants this to be a permanent playlist?"

If there were legitimate reasons why a weekend playlist should be made permanent, other than because you like it, then I wouldn't be as annoyed, but your original post basically tells me all I need to know.

That being said, I play stranded KOTH plenty enough for it to be permanent. Aside from that, KOTG is a total massacre the entire time. (Not in a good way.)

If we were going to keep a Gnasher only game mode then I'd much rather it be Raven Down 24/7 than this one. More fun and fast paced in my opinion.

This event is one I agree with. For those who played Annex on Gears 1 and 2 know that KOTGnasher brings back that tension, with the Gnasher only gameplay. It's so fun, and brings back fond memories of Gears 2 for me. No stupid Lancering me down, no stupid Sawed-Off. Yup, I'm with you Digger ReZ

EDIT: And it should replace Alpha KOTH. Becuase it feels more classic and there's no need for 2 Alpha playlists...
