Gears of War 1 multiplayer.

Hi everyone. So when i was around 13 or 12 years old i got my first copy of gears of war and i was so happy with it, the ony thing was i did not get live until i was 15 and thats around when gears 2 came out. So ever sence gears 2 ive neve played gears 1 multiplayer, until just last night. (Yes it took me that long). I was wondeing if anyone veterans of gears 1 can give me any multiplayer tips. I see on their people gettng alot of instant headshot kills with sniper, and all that stuff. I just want to know if their is any big changes i should know going from gears 3 and gears 2. thanks.

Alot of players glitch out of the maps when loosing or are just ruining the game people rage quit almost instantly and the best technique too use which isn't in any of the other gears games is the two piece where you melee then shoot the shotgun as the melee will stun your enemy for about 2 seconds

This is one of the most important things i think.

There is no client side hit detection.

So lets say if the guy im facing is moving to the right, i would have to shoot to the right a little before hes actually standing in that position?

1. Active Sniper = 1 shot down (already mentioned)
2. Check your lag (already mentioned)
3. Learn to use hipfire Gnasher
4. Pistol > Lancer

Gridlock, Fuel Depot, and Mansion are the best for getting decent gameplay in.
Raven Down is the best for getting good at Gnasher (and an awesome map to play)

Don't worry about being super1337Pro with the sniper
--just use it normally

Another thing to remember when playing Gears 1... the bullets come from the center of the screen, not your gun. So anytime you see someone centered in your screen, regardless if they are in front of, or behind you, shoot.
