Default Need opinions on the best ways to model rooms for house interiors

I'm creating some rooms in maya for houses interiors, and I wanted to know which example is the best to use in UDK so I can get the best results with textures, lightning and shadows. Or just feel free to tell me if there is a better way to model interiors (in maya) that works and looks best with UDK.

Example "A" walls and pillars are separated meshes.
Example "B" all the walls and pillars are one single mesh.

    Thanks in advance

Go with Option A. Make sure, your modular pieces are in power of 2's , like 256, 512, 1024 and Pivot point is at the corner. This way, its going to be very easy to create a level in no time.

If it needs to be modular, A. If not, B.

Go with A. You can combine pieces into groups, save them as archetypes along with lights and Kismet script (which you can instance around your and then mod slightly).

I'm pretty sure you can then use these to set LOD groups so that interior walls and rooms don't even have to be rendered while you go outside (haven't played with LODs like that yet, still need to read more UDN).
