    Default Frag grenade sound when landing...

    is just too quiet...i have astro A40s and usually have them turned up very high...and yet i still can't hear them landing next to me! So please epic make the sound of frag grenades hitting the grenade alot louder! Usually i just hear the beeping and its too late!! and it makes me so angry!!

    I completely agree. I think grenades should be brighter or something but I can never escape frags. Sometimes they beep AND explode at the same time, never giving me a chance in hell to avoid those things. The only way I'll ever escape a frag is if I see the guy throwing it and see where he is throwing it.

    That's one of my problems with it. It's supposed to beep giving you a chance to react, then boom. Not beeboom, leaving no time to do anything.

    Maybe your in-game volume isn't on a high enough settings? I hear Frags perfectly fine every time they're thrown.

    I hear them fine since characters yell it out. My problem is i never see where they are thrown/land so i get myself killed trying to avoid them =/

    I can hear someone running up behind me when I play because I have turtle beaches but I can ever hear frags being thrown until it's too late. I can hear everything else in the game that would give me an advantage, like a locust breathing heavily around a corner, or footsteps, or even a Sawed-Off being pulled out, but never frags being thrown.

    well turtle beaches plain suck in sound reproduction and the a40s i can't speak to as i have never used them personally but i find it interesting their frequency response lists no positive/negative. Turn up your in game volume or get yourself a stereo as unless its a team throw as in one tosses smoke then the other throws the frag i have never had a problem hearing them or being able to tell what direction the sound came from.
    Gears 3 is good, but it could have been great.

    This drives me crazy because i'm often able to escape the first grenade and get blown up by the second one. I have some turtle beach's and i hear the first one hit the floor, but never the second. Half the time it seems to be a crap shoot anyway as to wheather you'll escape or not.

    yea i here frags bounce twice second i hear it bounce once i run and then jump and my damage is minimal,

    I think grenades are fine, if they flashed or made louder noises then nobody would get kills with them. Imagine a frag mine thats brightly flashing red... no kills ever with mines again. Like Battlefield 3, the grenades flash red and they can be seen through walls, probably explains why I dont get kills with them.

    My turtle beaches work fine. I hear nades land and can tell you exactly where.

    Yes!! I have been saying i could barely hear frags since the release & now people are finally talki bout it.........please fix it.
    Please tone down the assualt rifles. One man can kill instantly with them...thats not teamwork. You wanted teamwork didnt you epic???

    Off topic:
    Naw man, TB's are awesome. I have had two pair of astros and they are lame. The astros cannot handle the breaking and capturing of the Koth ring and the sound is muffled due to the in game chat/voice amplification. Not a fan.

    On topic:
    I have no problem hearing the grenades. I hear the character yell it out as well as the grenade bounce on the ground.
    Two piecing is a joke, but being able to melee instantly after you shoot is ridiculous.

    I generally hear them. Mainly because it's the one thing that the characters DO say, after their muting.

    If you bounce a frag off of anything, it wont make a bouncing noise when it hits the ground. This is why I've started to almost always bank shot my frags

    EDIT: I have astro a40s as well and whenever I don't hear a drag bounce that kills me, its usually in a spot where they easily could have banked it, 70% of the time I hear frags clearly though.

    I hear them all the time. And I don't even use headphones when I play. Just speakers, typically while listening to music or something too haha. Not to mention I'm rarely caught off guard by nades anyway, I almost always see them thrown at me. But yeah, hear them 99.9% of the time and evade.
    Just play.
