Reset to level 1..

I have been playing Gears of War since the first one... i have changed my mind now and I am going to quit if this problem cant be resolved :( I was level 63 and I was reset to level 1, although 63 is not high, I am still very frustrated. it took me almost 4 months to get there. Is there anyway to fix being reset?

what did you do when you saw you were reset? did you play a match or did you dashboard immediately?

Sadly no. Your only chance is if you haven't played any matches yet. If you have the reset is permanent.

I am sure you can be reset there too. Either way, does it really matter getting reset in Gears 3? I know you lose everything but you still have your DLC, right? Do you have DLC? If I ever get reset, I am almost done for. I have no Cloud Storage because I have no Xbox Live and I don't have any Usb's either. But if I do get reset, I still have Ultra Violet and Onyx Guard/Alica Valera/ Minh Young Kim and RAAM/Savage Grenadier Elite and blah blah blah. So, do you have DLC or do you only like the unlockable characters?

Resets happen in a lot of games, CoD included. Data corruption is a common issue any time there is a computer involved.

And an Xbox console is just a computer.

If you havent played online in a match since the reset you may be able to delete your corrupt data file and hope that the file on the servers hasn not yet been overwriten. It's a longshot (no pun intended) but it may save your rank.
Give it a try, it's better than nothing!

Do a google search bro you'll find many rank resets occur in CoD games.

After I turn on again my xbox and my level is level 1. I was level 99 and I´m sad for that. Please there are someone that can help me?. I send a message to Joe Graf, I expected that him can help me.

Take a look at Gnashes sig. Has all the info you'll need.
If you haven't played a game - delete your profile and Gears of War 3 Player Data.
Then recover your profile and boot the game up. If you're level 1 - it sadly synced with your profile and nothing can be done.

For future reference. If you ever freeze - do NOT power off the console. Instead eject the disc - it will 99% of the time send you to dashboard.
From there you can check your player data and if it's NOT 64kb or 68kb - delete it and then boot Gears up. If it's smaller than 64kb - it's corrupted (discovered by Gnashes)

Look, I did only the first part. Delete mi profile of my xbox, also delete the cache of xbox but don´t work. I have fear of delete my player data because I have this.

Just copy and paste in u browser. Sometime I think that I was banned of Epic Games. Therefore u can see my medal in my war journal. What do you think???- or I make a backup about my player data with a USB?

friend of mine got a campaign reset in CoD.

A Campaign reset is similar to how you're reset in Gears. It's due to the save on your HD. But I'm pretty sure your online multiplayer rank in CoD is on the servers and not your HD. That's why resets are not nearly as common in other games as it is in Gears 3.

When Gears freezes majority of the time, I just press the eject button and it sends me back to the dashboard. Especially when it freezes during the loading screen.

Then I check my save file or 'player data' on my HD, if corrupted you'll notice a large yellow circle on the left hand side of the screen.

If you load up Gears with that file, you'll be reset -- but if you delete it and then load up Gears, you'll download your rank (basically everything) from the Gears server.

There's a video about this method, saves you the trouble of making physical saves of your data - but makes you a tad extra cautious.

I think I'll place the link for that video in my sig .. just to give people options, Gnashes stuff is perfect though if you want a raw backup of your stuff.

Don´t worked the form that I had to solve the problem. Now my last hope is wait of today of tomorrow for see if I recover my medals and my level. Because the sunday, when I had that problem I unlock 2 skins for weapon, and yesterday and unlock other skins of weapons.

not really. There is nothing anyone can do. The data was corrupted. Without a physical backup, the stats are permanently gone.

your game isn't broken. You can re-earn your stats. Make sure to use the cloud storage or a USB to make a physical back up file from now on.

Corrupted data. Usually because a save was interrupted by console freezing, backing out, shutting the console down, power outage...

man, Try delete your profile and cache of xbox. Later start you game and leave that load. If don´t work delete you player data of you Disk and try again. If not alredy there are not way to recover you level. Believe me is very sad lost all your medalls and ribbons. But I don´t lost the achievements.

Remember DON´T RE-UP YOUR LEVEL because if you make that, you have 100% of possibility that you lost your level. I try those option and don´t work to me. I expect that you have luck.
