Default materials from 3ds max to udk

So, I've created standard and subobject materials in 3ds max on my model. I want them just as they are in udk, but when I import the FBX with materials on it, the materials are a superlight color. Is it possible to get these materials into udk looking the same? I would like to do it without unwrapping all the maps, since I don't really understand that whole process. Or maybe someone can point me to a very comprehensive tutorial on how to do that? All the tutorials I've been watching and reading have left gaps in the process and I can't seem to fill them in. Any assistance would be appreciated!

Materials in max isn't the same as materials in UDK. What you need to do is to import the texture maps and setup a new material. And yes, you will need to setup a UVMap.
Please don't send me private messages asking how to use UDK unless it has to do with my work, everything I can teach is already out there.

I am not support, I am here to learn myself.

I ran into the same problem you had before, but I found that you have to make a UVW map, then render out the UVW map and do some editing in Photoshop, then re-import it into Max, and set up the material using Maps. Then when you go in export/import the .FBX file, it will transfure over the UVW map you did in Photoshop.

Alright, I guess I shall start working on editing in photoshop.
