Yea it would probably benefit me for certain maps but I prefer lone wolfing in general.
whenever i'm on a good team it becomes a shut out/riflefest/crossfire/spawn trap/ enemy team all quits out and we're stuck with bots type affair.
its fun being on a team but I enjoy the clutches and randomness of solo play even if it can be frustrating at times.

WHAT! Dude that is the worst game mode for it. Escalation sucks on TDM, but it is still a million times better than Raven Down.

    yea quickmatch.
I like joining a losing team midgame and helping them make a comeback.
and in ranked I hate how I can pretty much tell if we are going to win or lose before the match even begins.
i've done my time in ranked but without a dedicated squad its just not worth it to me.

You should try and find a team. I am looking for a reliable 5th for public matches. In general I don't have that many players to play Ranked with and usually settle for whoever is online. It cost me today

Yeah, I will criticize my team if they're doing something as idiotic as what I describe. But I never yell at them, I can't stand it when people do that. Nor will I criticize them if the other team just has them beat in some situations. You can't win em all, and you can't expect every single other player to be below your skill level. Like I said, I love a truly competitive game, not a slaughter regardless of what side I'm on.

Yea I probably would but my deal is I do the majority of my gaming later at night, and I've recently moved into a very quiet household so I typically have my mic off the majority of the time I play. Which wouldn't be helpful in a team situation.

Create a gaming room with walls that have that spongie milkcrate looking material that recording studios have. You could rage all you want in a room like that.

Meh, it's a gaming room, just throw some iridescent paint in some cool designs on the walls, hang a few black lights. You'll never know. Espensive...yeah, probably. Although there are several forms of sounds dampening insulation that are extremely cost effective and easy to obtain. They just won't have that sound studio look for when you do...er...sound studio stuff.

That's against the rules of a quiet household though. I'm going for a solution that won't get the guy thrown out on the street or get his xbox smashed. Cuz that's a sad day.

On a slightly more positive not, I love maps where I have easy access to a snipe. I squeed when they said that they were back guardian and Jacinto. I immediately thought "time to be a god with sniper on jacinto", but they didn't put it in

I'd have to say Escalation. It's not only one of my worst played maps, but I can't stand the height. Long range, you have no advantage, and short range, you have too much of an advantage. The spawns are too random for me.

Honestly I debate on quitting out when I end up playing on this map.

I'm not one to loathe any map, even ones like Overpass(or ones where people try to play like it's Overpass). In fact, that one's probably my favorite.

Taking into account both quick and ranked, different game types/modes(including Horde/Beast), and the sheer fact I didn't care for it much back then either, I'd have to say Blood Drive. I honestly don't mind doing what it takes to win, and believe me, I love randomly popping/downing people from across the map with a pistol. But just the fact that people swarm to the map just knowing "If we do this, we'll win in the easiest, least effort, and boring possible way" coupled with its disgusting popularity(again, I didn't love or hate it back in Gears 2, but I didn't cringe when absolutely everyone voted on it) makes me get really sick of it sometimes.

That applies to Horde (really repetitive, and yeah I get it, easy Silverback rocket boosting, plant nades everywhere, first base is best, yadda yadda), Beast (that's kinda just Beast in general, just amplified here. Few people wanna go Tickers here and there, the rest just try to level up asap with Drones/Kantus until they get Berserkers) and even gametypes like KoTH(had games where absolutely no one even tried to go for a hill, won/lost out of pure attrition/people leaving out of boredom) and standard deathmatch gametypes(single push for the power weapons, fall back to camp up the stairs, spend the rest of the match either setting booby traps, or setting off enemy booby traps).

I didn't much care for the changes made, but I did like the feel of bobbing/weaving through columns and corridors during Gnasher fights, as opposed to wasting my entire rifle/pistol ammo and hoping I get a grenade kill every other minute. I like both games about the same, and don't even use the Gnasher as my shotgun half the time, for the record.

Some maps are admittedly more problematic in this degree, Sandbar, Escalation and a few spawn-trapping friendly maps like Bullet Marsh, but I tend to have fun finding ways to break things up or pull together as a team. Blood Drive just doesn't do it for me after so many games, whether we're the ones pinned or pinning down, making a comeback with people I don't know in quick match, or dominating with a party in ranked. But there's not much, if any other maps that I dislike playing across different modes (save for maybe Rustlung, on Horde and Beast). Makes me want to facerip a random when it's unanimously chosen over new or even fun maps that I consider remotely likable, even on Horde.

Maybe if it had Inks again. *shrugs*
