Horde- command centers/ silverbacks

Why is it that people blatantly steal silverbacks and use command centers when they neither buy nor maintain them. It pisses me off to spend cash I've earned on these fortifications, only to have them wasted by someone else. If they are prepared to repair and maintain them with me, no problem. Otherwise, piss off and pay for your own crap. I just had one guy use the command centre on wave 2. He then spent his cash upgrading barriers. I repaired the command centre, turn around, and there he is waiting to push the button again. Wtf? Is there any way epic can make it so that the people purchasing these items are the only ones who can operate them? I know it's a team based gametype, but why can't I be as selfish as my fortification stealing teammates.

I know where your'e coming from. I only tend to play with people I know and even then my douche friends like to steal my silverback. I think it would be good though if they made it so that you can only use it if you buy it.

My friend does this. Even if he's an asshole, it's usually funny to watch.

I usually fix out of courtesy, but I won't repair anything if someone doesn't know how to use it, or is being obnoxious. They usually repay my kindness.

Yesterday someone even let me use their stuff during Wave 50, since I was the only one not wasting/blowing it up in 5 seconds.

I feel you on that! If they would either rebuild/repair or give me the money back to rebuild them, but they never do.

Oh another way to tell if your host is you throw your smoke in the air and it will spin in the air if your host.

If you get the message "waiting for other players to finish" after a wave does that mean your host as well?

It's nice to see people wanting to help other players, and while I agree with the Silverback (don't care), the Command Center is another thing entirely. Again, I don't care if others use it, but the tendency is for them to press the button at the beginning of the round, wasting the CC and blowing a very strategic, sometimes life-saving piece of gear for no reason whatsoever. That is just poor sportsmanship and not being a team player. It can ruin the game for the rest. If you use them responsibly, I'll buy them all game long and have at it. If you use them just to push the button and be a useless pylon of a teammate, I'll just continue to play, rebuild standard fortifications and not worry about building the CC or the SB. Why bother in those circumstances?

True story ^^^^ Some even take pleasure in acting this way.

Overall people seem to help each other but there are "those guys" that ruin it for the team, especially on the higher levels. I no longer loan a silverback to anyone without a mic so i can guage how they are. I'm tired of them rushing the enemy spawn with it and blowing it up after i spent over 20 grand on it. Or using my HOD command center the first second of a wave and getting a ticker kill, good job asshole!

I have seen the SB stealing first hand and I was stunned when it came from a green numbered guy, later on after the the originator left the round and the guy who stole the SB opened his mouth to say this never happens to "his" silverback, I just rolled my eyes. The way I look at it is if you buy it and get it destroyed, listen to the others, they will tell you how and where to place it.

Ain't that the truth, people like that piss me off, rather than choosing the best base they decide to pick the closest one then bail, they shouldn't get credit fo the ribbon bailing that quickly.

Silverback is to slow for Horde with mutators anyway.

I don't play horde much, but I have everything maxed out.

I have everything maxed out as well, it's just the fact that people don't give back what they take.

If someone uses the command center I maxed out just follow some simple guidelines:

Don't activate it before enemies even show up.

Don't waste it on an early wave with mostly tickers & wretches.

Don't hit the button then go & hide while everyone else does all the work.

And after using someone elses command center at least give them a little cash in exchange for using it, gamesmanship people!

Yeah i don't mind letting my team use my stuff but there's always that one guy who purposefully ****s **** up.
they press your cc at the beginning of the wave
they spend their cash poorly and wait for you to buy a silverback and then grief you if you don't "share"
they hop in your parked damaged silverback and destroy it

some people really like to ruin the fun for others,it's a hobby to them.

This is exactly why I never buy SB's in Public Horde. Not that I ever play Public Horde.

I hate it when people use my Command Centres. I bought it, I think I should get to use it, surely? Okay, fair enough if we're in a tight spot and you think we need the assistance, or you're the only guy left or something; but when you just stroll up and use it when we clearly don't need it, that's a stupid move.
