Execution:
Rounds to Win – best of 3 in early ladder, best of 5 in late ladder

King of the Hill:

Default Weapons & Swaps: Starting Weapons – Lancer/Gnasher
Swaps: Gorgon/Boltok will be swapped for the Snub Pistol on all maps
Higher seed chooses the first game type to host in the existing preset order and then the lower seed picks the second game type to host. Repeat
Irrelevant of seeding, the team with the most rounds won during the match will host the tiebreaker map. In the event of a rare tie, flip a coin to decipher. Winner of the last map calls it.
Team that did not pick the map will pick COG or Locust
Each team must use different characters and no clones.(Grubkiller Carmine and Rookie Carmine are the same person) Only ONE female Character per Cog team and Locust team.
In KoTH, “round counts” will work as such: Every 53 seconds earned in the hill is equal to 1 round won. Example: 210 to 123 is the same as a 4 – 2 round count
Hosting Rules:
- Best of 3
1. The team listed on the top of the bracket will host the first map.
2. Hosting will alternate between teams
3. For the tiebreaker map, host will be determined by round count. If round count is tied, a coin flip will decide host.
- Best of 5
1. Matches will be played on neutral host.
Equipment Rules
1. Players may not use a Turbo controller, a Button Macro controller, a Wireless controller, or a Play and Charge Kit. Turbo controllers allow Players to press a button that results in their Character performing a set of actions that would normally require the Player to press the same button multiple times. Button Macro controllers allow Players to press a button that results in their Character performing a set of actions that would normally require the Player to press multiple buttons.
2. Players may not use a controller that has been modified in such a way that it alters their Character’s abilities and/or in-game mechanics. Players are allowed to make cosmetic changes to their controller. However, the Tournament Director reserves the right to deny the use of any controller suspected of providing an unfair competitive advantage.
3. Players may not use a Keyboard, Mouse, or Keyboard and Mouse adapter.
4. Players and Coaches may not use a Wireless headset or a headset that requires an outlet for power.
General Rules
1. Any sign of cheating may result in a Forfeit of the Game, disqualification from the Event, and/or a Ban from future events.
2. Players and Coaches may not intentionally manipulate a button, trigger, bumper, D-Pad, and/or joystick on a teammate’s controller while a Game is in progress. Breaking this rule will result in a Forfeit of the Game.
3. In the case of an Xbox 360/Monitor malfunction, the Game may be restarted from the last known score, or in the case of King of the Hill, restarted from the beginning of the game.
4. Players may use any unoccupied USB ports on their Xbox 360.
5. If a Player/Team fails to report to their Station within 5 minutes of their Match’s announcement (Grace Period), they will Forfeit the 1st Game. If a Team fails to report to their Station within 15 minutes of their Match’s announcement, they will Forfeit the Match. If Teams scheduled to play each other both Forfeit a Game or Match, the higher seeded Team will win the Game or Match. If a Match is announced prior to its scheduled start time, the Grace Period will start at the Match’s scheduled start time.
6. If a Team fails to report to their Station on-time, resulting in a Forfeit of a Game(s), the opposing Team will choose whether the Forfeited Game(s) will be counted as their host or their opponent’s.
7. Players may ask their Referee for permission to leave their Station if their Match has not been completed. Referees may set a time limit by the end of which the Player must return to their Station or they may deny the Player’s request. Teams may Forfeit a Game(s), or be forced to play a Game(s) shorthanded, if a Player(s) hasn’t returned by the end of their Referee’s set time limit. Teams may Forfeit a Game(s), or be forced to play a Game(s) shorthanded, if a Player(s) leaves their Station without their Referee’s permission, or is otherwise unable to play.
8. Teams may ask their Tournament Director for an extended break between Matches. The Tournament Director may set a time limit by the end of which the Team must report to their upcoming Match’s Station or they may also deny the Team’s request. Teams may Forfeit a Game(s), or be forced to play a Game(s) shorthanded, if they haven’t reported to their upcoming Match’s Station by the end of their Tournament Director’s set time limit.
9. In order to dispute Game results, Players/Teams must notify their Referee that they would like to Protest the Game before a new Game has begun. In order to dispute Match results, Players/Teams must notify their Referee that they would like to Protest the Match before the Match’s Score Sheet has been submitted to the Tournament Director.
Conduct Rules:
1. During Sunday’s scheduled Warm-Up periods, Teams that haven’t been eliminated from the Event have priority over other Teams regarding the use of open Stations.
2. Players must use their registered Username during all Games. Team Name abbreviations are allowed.
Gameplay Rules:
1. No going outside the normal boundaries of a Map.
2. No quitting out of a Game.
3. Players and Coaches may not look at an opposing Player’s Monitor or projected screen during a Game.
4. Breaking a Gameplay Rule #1-3 will result in a Forfeit of the Game.
5. If a Game is started without the approval of a Tournament Official it will be restarted from the beginning.
6. Teams that incorrectly end a Game, without a Tournament Official’s permission, will Forfeit the Game.
7. Players who quit out of a King of the Hill game, before it has ended, will be allowed to rejoin the Game, but a Team will Forfeit the Game if all of their Players quit without a Tournament Official’s permission.
8. Players/Teams that are disqualified prior to the start of a Game will not be allowed to play in the Game. Players/Teams that are disqualified during a Game must quit out of the Game.
