    Default Help with game software

I need help with software recommendations for a game I want to make. It is going to be a stealth game, I already posted in the Indiedb forums and only one person replied to my thread and he was rude and didn't seem to understand what I was asking for because I don't need help with the story of my game I am capable of doing that by myself. If you need more info on the game just ask and please don't give me advice on a story or anything just software recommendations that I can use with UDK.

Well this is quite unspecific, so are you referring to programs for lets say 3D Modeling? (If this is what you mean) you can use (if you are a student) Student Edition of Maya, 3Ds Max, or free 3D Modeling Programs ones like Blender, or Google SketchUp.
As for plug-ins for those programs I would try to get ActorX.

I hope I have helped atleast a tad bit. Just let us know if you mean programs related to modeling, texturing, scaleform, etc. so we can help more effectively.

Since you are vague I will note some of the programs that I use:

Blender for 3D models and animations
Gimp for 2D texturing and art
ShaderMap Pro for some normal and specular maps
    Audacity for audio

Thank you both for actually helping me on what I asked for and I'm sorry for being so vague, but I was basically looking for 3d modeling and audio software. So once again Thanks if anyone else wants to give me recommendations I will definitely accept them.

For free... Blender for 3d modelling, Audacity for audio editing, Podium for music production, Gimp for bitmap graphics, Inkscape for vector graphics.

Actorx has been abandoned by Epic Games and will not work with the current student trials of Autodesk software. It was trashed a while back for full fbx implementation

Although some UE3 licensee had released updated ActorX for 2012 software
