How about better scoring on Game Center?

If there is one thing that ruins games for everyone it's not being able to trust game center scores.

All jail broken iOS devices should not be allowed to post on Game Center. Or put into their own category. Let all of those scores be grouped together so they read the same score.

What about good-old Absolute Champions table in Australian Open? It can be used notwithstanding which game you play, OG or NG. You divide your last killed GK lvl by your total stats. This is pretty exact measure.

But with all these new gems... Skills are not so important anymore. If the only skill required is a skill to spend more time, then competition is pointless

Indeed. Me too, Silversabest! Not really grinding now though, fast-forwarding, which is more challenging and fun than fully mastering with fully loaded gems. Titan fight almost every RB - the 1st Thane does not count

Also, for some reason, intentional/bug?, when you kill Raidriar, the Health you leave with, is what you have to face the next Shade with. My last NG, I was careless, and left with only 5000 Health. That Shade @ 950 fight was a challenge, since I had not really learned his special moves.

That's always the case. My theory is the fight in Saydhi's garden is just a continuation of the previous NG, which is why when you do Reload RB1 it send you a full NG back.

The only way to play NG is do minimum RB per NG (and don't use the XP+ gem or any other craps like parry all or titan speed reducer). This will provide a more consistent level of difficulty (and a slightly elevated difficulty with each NG). If one tries to master most or all items in each NG, the degree of difficulty will decrease over time. In my case I blow through 200 NGs with 1 RB/NG via that iCloud glitch, and as a result the game play is fairly challenging to keep me motivated to play.

Very good point, ruggedland. After mastering most of NG 16, I am now doing 5 RBs/NG, the bare minimum without the glitch, and rarely get any XP+ gems, or other gems that make the game too easy. I will be keeping this playing style up for as long as I can - indefinitely, perhaps..
