Play N Trade 2v2 Gears of War 3 Tournament

We are back once again to provide the amazing EPIC Gears of War 3 community an amazing event. This time around we have teamed up with Play N Trade to offer you the best of two worlds. Competitive online play that leads into a live event at a local Play N Trade store, with a chance to win cold hard cash!

We are finalizing the details with Play N Trade, however the main details you need to know is that this event will be a 2v2 event. The important information for this event is as follows:

Sign-ups Open: April 22 - May 5th, 2012

Ladder Play: May 6th - 22nd, 2012

Online Tournament Play (top 64 teams): May 26th and 27th, 2012

Do the tournament sanctions include starting weapon exclusions, I.e. Lancer/Gnasher only?

Our competition will only run Lancer/Gnasher. The Play N Trade tournament itself will allow all starting weapons.

Play N Trade is running a local and international tournament that will allow ALL weapons. FraggedNation is running a qualifier for this tournament, which will only allow Lancer/Gnasher.

I recommend signing up for this event, the prizes are phenomenal! The last event FN had was superb with 64 teams and great fun. Hurry up before those spots fill up.

We are rolling with TDM only because that is what the live event will have. The prizes alone will make this a worthy event. We are simply using the settings based on Play N Trade so that teams are playing as close to what the live event settings will be.

I checked the entire thing out, joined FraggedNation and then found out that Play N Trade was a US store

Sadly the online tournament for FN is limited to North America (US and Canada), but the live tournament is international!

Wait so i underatand that you do an online qualifier then a local LAN. But if there is prize money where is the finals?

the fraggednation website has to be my worst web experience I've had in the last 5 years, it took me and my teammate over an hour to get registered and eligible, there are wayyyy too many bugs, very sluggish loading times, very difficult to navigate, for the not so savvy computer user it could be difficult to get signed up for this tournament, which is why I'm assuming there's only 16 teams that are currently registered for this qualifying ladder and half the teams are currently ineligible and probably don't even know about it. So what happens when this ladder doesn't reach at least 64 teams?

Registration shouldn't take more than 5 minutes. In my opinion the site and navigation is far more user friendly than GB. Teams are notified if they are ineligible and should have an active exception on their tournament memberships.
