Large Chest cap
Lvl 86, RB 103 OG. Large key buying price is 610K.
You open the large chest and what do you get? I tell you what you get: kurzt. Selling price: 106K. WTH!!?!
Best gem I get now from a large chest is square attack gem around +260, selling price below 500K.
Do you guys also experience that up to a point, you cant make any money or you only get crappy items from a large chest?

This is the reason I've stopped using large chests. I'm on RB 40 NG 10 an I can't afford to buy the large keys to then lose around 500k on the rubbish I get out of the chest.

ya with the sell cap on gems at 500k seems like your best case scenario for the chests (gem profit) is kind of out of the window.
have you guys tried using +gold% and +drop gold% gems to maximize your chances of finding gold in the large chests? would you pull a profit if they dropped gold?

But the point is, if you have enough gold and you want some cool gems, that is not going to work anymore. What a shame! beacuse large chests WERE like mysterious and fun.
You won't get good attack gems out of a forge. They are capped there it seems.
Large chests are still good for big gems, just equip your drop gem diamonds, +2000% used to be the cap, not sure what it is now.

For me large keys cost close to a million, but with a Gold +37% which I had during NG 16, where I mastered all but the most expensive items, my experience was that I almost always got Gold back : 1.4 to 1.5 million. It was like the game realized any item would be a total waste. Maybe 1 out of 10 I got an item, worst case some crappy gem. Medium keys got expensive enough I got several Anarachs from the first medium chest.
However, when I really need Gold, i.e. the first few Large keys in an NG, I backup before a Large chest, and restore if I get an item.
That, and the ability to back up and restore in general (some sentinels), was the reason I moved off cloud saves a while ago. I probably won't move back on, as the only advantage would be sync to my iPhone, which I don't use to play IB2 anymore, and automatic backups, which I don't 100% trust anyway. As I have described before, if you have any IAP Gold, this will most likely be lost when moving storage location. Links incl for reference.

Or do you mean 3 or 4 gems each +300-400 %combined?

Correct Thunder, I only have a couple of drop gold +% at the minute. I'm always looking out for more and hoping I forge them but they seem a lot rarer (maybe its because I'm so desperate for them).
I just can't afford to keep throwing my money down the drain to more often than not, get a cheaper reward.

Harry-Son, seems like you are just as frustrated as I am!
I see you are still on OG too. I have manage to forge attack gems only around 160. And I never ever get any over 110 from a large chest.
And I want that damn +199 or better yet +200!
Ever considered switching over to NG?

it's a gamble because you can get around 1 mill out of that 600k chest so you just hope you don't get items or gems

They should make changes so you can get items that are cool to keep, great gems or weapons. And not only crappy items or gems at higher levels.
