Honestly this is the weapon skin iv wanted since the game was released but ranking up in GOW2 was idiotic so i stopped at 55 would love to go back and try to get my wings but its pretty dead on GOW2 any suggestions?

I've no suggestions, i've stopped playing Gears 3 atm and i'm back on Gears 1, had to start everything again... so yeah =/ then will move onto Gears 2 at some point but getting to 100 again? it took me like a year last time i can't be bothered again lol

20 XP week? That's absolutely insane! I remember back when I was going for Veteran Gear that we would be lucky to have a double XP weekend. With my luck, after I get Seriously 3.0 there will be "Free Onyx Medal" weekends too!

If u go for it Gl took me over a user to get wings w.o those xp events ..now when I see 20x u know how it feels for the old vets who did it w.o the events

I think I'm almost to 50. I only really played Horde, so I tended to get less XP than I would have had I been playing Vs. I want to get there at some point since I have every gold weapon except the Gnasher, but I'm probably going to wait until I'm out of school and just play A LOT IF there's an XP Event or something. There is a glitch to get it no matter what level you are, but I'm not going to do that. It involves having another profile signed in while not connected to Live that has the Veteran Gear achievement (A lot of people offer deals for either MS points, Live cards, or even nothing sometimes to do this.), then start a game in Training. While it's loading, quickly sign out and sign in to the account you want the achievement on and it will unlock. I guess I really didn't necessarily need to describe it that much, but it can be done if you really don't want to level up for it.

I got Rank reset 3 times. It's really hard but I managed to reach 100 4
times in less than a year thanks to XP events, so my suggestion is that
you wait for an XP event.

Level 96 is about 800k XP away from your goal

It's a hell of an effort (was even when people actually played it)

i only got to 100 due to exp events, i don't really like how it looks on gnasher.

I got to 96 without events, then got the wings during '10 Gearsmas, I believe.

Well I was reset 5 months before Gears 3 release, and my trick? ALOT of Wingman matches....

I had all the Golden skins on release night, but 3 weeks later my progress decides to reset and EPIC and MS give me bullsh*t excuses, so now I'm 4 Golds short. I don't want to hear about going and playing Gears 2 when I've been reset 3 times on that piece of sh*t as well. Now I'm level 80 in GOW2 and getting minuscule points, even when I have great matches. Ball's in your court SwaT GURU.

We should get the Gold set by reaching the last level on GOW3. That way I'd feel inclined to get my gold wings
