    Red face Kazong! on App Store! For free!

    Hi guys! Our universal iOS game "Kazong!" has been released in the app store and it's free!

    Some info:

    Entertaining free 3D arcade platforming game - Have some fun by steering Kazong, a lonely ninja beach ball in search of his home beach. Feel the adrenaline rush when you are about to fall of the track and feel the victory when you get the top time!


    3D Speed cruising at its finest!
    - Steer the ball by tilting the device
    - Jump by tapping the screen. You can jump again after the ball has deflated back to its normal size.
    - Get to the goal as fast as you can and don't fall off!

    Collect the stars to show that you are extra AWESOME!
    - Can you find the stars?
    - If you can find them does not mean that you can COLLECT them!
    - They are hard to get. Get it?

    * Fast Paced

    Do you have the skill and balance to steer the ball safely through the islands and obstacles?

    Kazong, and the first update were made in just two weeks. This was (and is) kind a test game so we can study the app store and iAds system before we launch our larger game Block Planets. We plan on continuing to update this game, make more levels and add the gamecenter support.

    almost unplayable on iphone4 - framerate is horrible
    menu buttons are displayed with super tiny text - too hard to read

    game looks nice and promising (fun) but definitely needs some heavy optimization!

    Framerate on iPhone4 should be fine ( 30-35 fps ) , at least it has been on all of my tests but I will do optimizations.

    The menu buttons are made with the MobileInputZone Buttons. Does anybody know how to set the font to be larger? in some .ini files maybe?

    Oh wow. I just raised the fps from 28 to 60 just by disabling the lightshafts. I did not understand that lightshafts were so expensive!

    This will go to the upcoming update too.

    framerate was more like 4-8

    That is really strange! I get 50-60 fps now

    The meshes have really low polycount, the largest texture in the whole game is 1024x1024, the game uses static lightning and even the materials are really simple ( But they are flattened anyway ). Interesting...

    I am just finishing the new scaleform menu for the upcoming update, but the game keeps crashing when the menu loads up.

    I'll fix these issues and add game center support and the update will be on it's way. Apple's review process takes 6 days though.
