[Static Mesh import] From 2500 vertices to 14000 and the character seems broken
Hi everyone, i have a mesh of a character. I didn't make it, i bought it.
Before to do the skinning i wanted to test how the texturing looks inside the engine so i just imported it as a static mesh.
First problem, the static mesh from 2500 vertices jump to 14000 and moreover the material is applied a lot of times in small areas as you can see in the picture, here you can see with the default material, with its original material has the same behavior.
I'm trying to understand what's wrong in 3d studio but it seems ok (but i'm not a graphic and i don't have a good knowledge of this instrument).
Can someone help?
ok you have to do the uvw map and polygon smoothing before you go any further with the mesh
