Would it be interesting to see a DLC starring Dom's brother Carlos?

Maybe one set at Aspho Fields and you play as Dom's older brother Carlos Santiago as the main character and have Marcus Fenix and Anya's mother Helena Stroud in his squad. I haven't read the books much about Helena and Carlos but I know who they are and just think it be an interesting idea for another prequel Campaign and to add Carlos as a multiplayer character for Gears 3.

As Dom is my favorite Gears character all time, and haven't read any of the books (but know a lot of the history via various websites and wiki's), I would absolutely love a DLC about this. However, don't hold your breath lol. Looking like it's going to be Baird or Carmine.

all spoilers here on out but il try to not give anything away

the book aspho point is split in half basically the modern age and the battle/raid of aspho point

the modern day has alot of combat and action
the flashbacks are marcus and carlos cowering in a ditch waiting for the enemy to come close and hope there not killed by tank fire they didnt do much bsedies fire a few rockets and a few bullets

in the raid (commado doms part) they kill 1 armed guard)

there isnt much combat in the flashback part (with carlos santiago)

it wouldnt be that good i think too many people havent read the book but think it was some massive battle that was amazing epic.

the book sets up 5 things
1)marcus's guilt and friendship with dom/ the whole santiago family
2) hammer of dawn technology
3) hoffman being kickass and awesome
4) brings bernie into the modern age (and her and baird fighting and her love of cole)
5) anya strouds story

any fan who wants to know more about marcus and dom should read it and also anyone who like hoffman

anyone who reads this book should like and understand hoffman who had everything forced on him he never wanted to leave the frontline and work behind the desk

The problem with Carlos is that his story has already been told, at least for me it has. He died young, so not a lot of options to begin with. Read Aspho fields and issue 17 of Gears and you'll find all you need to know about him.

This would be an amazing idea. I've read all of the books and there's plenty of content in there to build a DLC on. And besides, it can build on the book, why does it have to be identical?

Buy the book, it's a good read.

But I think it would be best to have campaign DLC on a current character, like Baird, than go back to somebody never mentioned.

And as others have said, there isn't a lot of action for Marcus/Carlos/Dom in the war.

Hell Yeah! Dom is just a replacement for Carlos anyway. But I think they need a campaign for the pendulum wars. but if they do a Pendulm Wars DLC it's gonna be a clue for a fourth Gears Of War!

I like the idea, but I think that I as-well as the non-hardcore Gears fans who don't know who Carlos really is would appreciate a DLC going over the story of the Carmines with a helmet-less Carmine COG skin and D. Carmine skin.

I'd buy it in a heartbeat, although I'd rather play as Marcus with Carlos taking Dom's usual role as sidekick. Marcus has a more interesting role to play as well, manning the enemy tank and whatnot.
