    Default New game on the way :)

    After struggling with Super Fowl I wanted to quickly get into something new, sometging quick and simple. So i decided I'l make Pingall game. After few days I came up with simple prototype:




    I have already working collision models, RB actor spawner, spring system, input zones, draft of UI, and 2 types of "bouncers".
    Visiually it's still a sketch but it will have comic book style.
    Here is my Kismet:



    After my first prod (Babel) I'm trying to keep my Kismet as clean as possible. Babel was a nightmare Kismet-wise.
    Most important thing is my time goal, I want this to be completed within 2-3 weeks.

    your ball looks awesome, which is usually the hold back on pinball games you see on the forums, myself included. Any chance you would be willing to share how you make your ball look so good.

    UPDATE:
    Next step of my quick project. Updated UI, 2 new features, working spring gate, some particle effects, game over screen and hi score system.
    This time mute but with better quality of video.

    2 new features added (spinnig wheel and a ramp - this one was quite tricky, a lot of collision shapes). Some gfx tweaks.
    Unfortunately I hit a wall during testing on a device, everytime app is loaded it crashes.

    Default Good news on Pinball project

    Finally manged to sucessfully deploy game to a device ( framerate is quite low 19-26 fps, but it's not optimized yet).

    Big Grin Update - new video + iPod Touch screen

    Hello!
    First iPod Touch screenshot:

    As you can see it runs around solid 35 FPS (knowing fps statistic steals some performance). If it runs 35 FPS on iPod it will fly on iPad/iPhone.
    Addons:
    -camera button - now you can switch between 3 different cameras
    -fireball mode ( it is enabled by going through the ramp and it multiplies score by 2x for 10 seconds)
    -multifonts
    - some tweaks in textures ( emissive maps with panners on it's masks - spinning wheel and flip/flop card on the right )
    Fixes:
    Ball passing through collision geometry wnen moving too fast - had to use actual/physical actor, not a spawnable Kactor or Archetype - it gives me one very important switch: "limit max velocity".

    Finally a video with sound:

    Don't mind my crappy gaming skills - I'm not using UDK remote ( problems with reconnecting ) and I play with my mouse

    P.S. If you have any ideas about some new cool features let me know!

    one thing that I always loved in pinball games is the possibility of getting multiballs if you do some things. So it would be nice if you add some 'missions' (like hit something 10x or even more complex things) and then give multiballs as a reward. It could be 2 balls at the same time or even 4, for extra points and madness!!

    Thanks guys! About that multiball - I was thinking about it for a long time, it can be a bit tricky ( many events is targeted to a specific actror ) but I will give it a try. Missions - good idea - thanks man.
