    Default ActorX psa issue

So I'm using the March release of UDK along with 3ds max 2011.
I used actorx to export the mesh and an animation. The animation works fine in 3ds max.
I imported the mesh, it looks fine. Then I tried to import my psa and it worked but...
the mesh in the animation is upside down and the animation does not play at all.

When I animated it in 3ds max I grouped the bones and all together so I could animate it as a whole.
I don't know if this has something to do with the issue?
    Any help would be appreciated.

ActorX is no longer really supported. FBX is what you should be using now.

alright thanks, and does it work similarly?

and also it says that my FBX is an older one, do you know where I can get the newer one?

yeah, i can't get my animations to actually play in udk. when i export the fbx i choose include animation and everything.
I might still try some stuff with actorx to see if I can get that functioning.

So I figured it out, in case anyone is having this same issue. You export the FBX including the animation then, You import the FBX as a skeletal mesh and have it not include the animation. Then create your animset and import an FBX animation. Import the exact same one and bam, it should work.
