Who actually buys the onyx guard decoy? He is useless!

I buy him for the laughs, hilarious!

Unfortunately my friend and I did. I spent every dime on assisting him to get the decoy maxed out only to find out how worthless he is. Kind of a bummer.

Kidding, I love playing solo horde and a smarter and better equipped Onyx guard would be much appreciated!

Otherwise, it isn't all that worth it to have to buy more than one Onyx guard because he loves to shake hands with Berserkers and Brumaks.

You have to admit, it's kinda amusing watching the Decoy run in thinking he's Rambo trying to take on the maulers and grinders etc

Yeah, that's why the AI Boost would be good. Stop him from running too far away from you.

An invisible leash could be good- he must be within X distance to another player at all times.

Serious? I thought I provided some good points. I enjoy horde mode, a lot, and there are times I play alone. Either way, playing with a decoy that costs 10000 that dies within 1 minute is pointless, especially when 2500 more will get you a silverback.

Now that I think aboot it, On the inside maps that have command centers...when you build a sniper/mortar command center and use it, Onyx Guards show up on rooftops or balconies or w.e. with a sniper or boomshot and give a bunch of locusts the ol 1, 2...Why can't the ones we build come with a Boomshot and/or sniper and play more of a support role, rather than being right in the action with a shotgun.

The title should actually be, "Onyx Guard Decoy, why are you soo stupid?". Besides the rifle thing, why must they run off into eminent death after spending all that money on him? I've watched him suicide run into countless Locust, such as walking straight toward a firing Grinder or a charging Beserker. If the Onyx Guard decoy gets killed/destroyed 10 seconds into the wave, that isn't a decoy. It's a fancy way of throwing your Horde $$$ into the GARBAGE.

This is something I'm iffy on. He is a decoy after all so I don't think full privileges should happen. I'm starting to think more and more that 1 weapon should be used and it should be random with each wave.
