How to export skeletal mesh from 3ds Max into UT3 using ActorX plugin?
I tried the directions in the following webpage [http://udn.epicgames.com/Two/ActorXM...al.html#Export the skeleton and mesh] but got the following error dialog boxes whenever I set the export directory and filename for the mesh in 3ds Max:
1. Unsmooth groups processing:  vertices added.
2. Warning: No valid skin triangles digested (mesh may lack proper mapping or valid linkups)
Any ideas? If so, please let me know. Thanks!
Skeletal mesh need bones; once youve added them.
3dsmax > modifiers > skin
p.s. im very new to skel mesh and animation; but it works for me
Could you please clarify the exact process? Any step-by-step details available online? if not, do you have any suggestions for books?
