Xp, how does it work?

I recently got Gears 2 (yes i know, im late from the party) and started playing multiplayer whit goal of reaching level 40 (Am i only Dreaming? Achievement). I mainly played Social Guardian but i dont understand xp system yet.

Round 1: I got 2k xp and after mach it showed that i got 8k xp. So its 4x what you get from mach right?
Round 2: I got 1,4k xp and after mach i got 4k xp. 1,4k x 4 = 5,6k. Where did that 1,6k go?

I have heard people talking about getting more xp in certain game modes like 109% in Wingman. How does that work?
Then there is case of something about win 3 matches in row to rank up or lose 3 in row to get rank down.

Lastly is there any speculation of when next Xp event might take place?

XP is worked out on certain aspects of a gametype, For example Warzone / Execution. If you play 5 Rounds on average and gain roughly 3500 Gamescore it'll then go through the ingame calculator for that playlist and multiply it by what epic has changed it to. For example King Of the Hill is something like x 0.60 so it'll be 60% of you're gamescore that'll be converted into XP

It's mostly accurate. The only thing you need to know is that it's a 4x permanent XP multiplier right now.

But even at 4x, it will take you forever to get your wings. They used to have events that would give you over 20x.

i really doubt hat would happen,but would be nice but doubt it
