Default WP8 Apollo is win8 NT kernal ,UDK can support, but UDK only EPIC advertising.

For future , Windows Phone 8 is win8 NT kernal , not WP7 kernal, so support C++, not only C# and sliverlight native code, UE3 /UDK can support and development WINDOWS PHONE 8 game .
I wish UDK can bulid in WP8 ARM /X86 version for future, because I guess , WP8 have ARM CPU and INTEL CPU version . This is very great project for EPIC Team.

    WP7 not support other 3DENGINE , because WP7 native code is C# , but if WP8 is NTKernal , UE3/UDK can support WP8, I sure!!!

but ... the main problem is: "UDK no any practical value. it only for EPIC advertising"

of course , I wish future EPIC blue map :
    UDK build in platform:
    pc (win7/8) / mac
    iOS / android / WP8
    flash 3D web game
    (it is free )

    UE3 build in platform:
    PC (win7/8) /mac/linux
    iOS/android/ WP8
    web game
    WII U / PS2/3 / XBOX360
    PSP VITA

Why don't you build your actual game instead of trying to get Epic to add all the platform support to UDK?

But its going to uses an ARM processor so it would take along time to ported over and unless microsoft's smartphone marketshare increases massively there is no point. Same goes for ARM based tablets but the X86 tablets running Win8 on the other hand will be cool.

If they haven't even updated UDK to support Android then there's next to no chance of them supporting WP8

yes , me too , if UDK not support android , same should't to support wp8.
so , UDK only for AD by UE3 tech , UDK no any practical value. only for EPIC advertising.

UDK has plenty of practical value for people who want to develop for platforms that UDK supports...

Well you still limit your audience significantly by choosing a solution that only supports one platform.

Not really; you cannot target every demographic. It's more important to pick the solution that allows you to target a particular audience. If you're picking a solution that doesn't support the platform your audience is using, you're doing it wrong.

They don't actually get that much money directly from UDK, so it doesn't help much to support more with UDK. The main purpose is to get people trained in the engine which encourages developers to buy full licenses of UE3.

Here's somethin no one considered, does this win8 phone run the latest flash? If so why wouldn't it run UDK. You simply can't make demands without a tried n tested product, I won't repeat the good advice offered by others

P.S. dungeon defenders second wave runs fine on my samsung galaxy s2, that's UE3 on android no?
    Got UnrealScript skills?
