How to open the unreal editor

Hi, I have just recently got the game and was wondering how to open the editor, I have tried multiple ways that other people have said but it dosen't open. I am running windows 7 and all the guides say C:\ but that says target box isn't valid.

i have tryed that but they dont run it just does a lot of whirring from the disk and then nothing

i have no idea what would be your problem.... that orks on my computer..

i guess the easiest way would be to right click the gears link in the start menu and select "run editor" - have you tried this?

the link i mean should be at: start menu - all programs - games - "gears of war for windows"
