Paintball Mask - Gears 3 Style Paint Job

Here's a paint-job I did on a V-Force Grill. It was a fairly simple job. It took a base layer of black, a tape job for the vein look and an overlay of red. Removed the tape and I cut out a stencil of the Dead Head emblem and put that on black. While it was still wet I used a q-tip to texture in the teeth on the skull and I painted on the eyes with red. Some small touch-ups on the veins and arteries with a brush. I did some side sprays of black to get a fade. Clear coated it for some impact durability if by chance I took one in the dome.

I might do another one in the future of a gold omen or maybe one for locust. Since the art dumps I know I'll have some good reference material.

Anyone else try this yet?

Thats very nice, I'm not sure I'd immediately associate it with Gears but it looks cool regardless.

Thanks all. My only regret is that the mask is too flexible and after playing with it, the paint has cracked a bit. Next time I'll use a stiffer mask and take a bit more time. I'm leaning towards a locust feel with maybe a bit of gold for the next one.
