Thanks! I'm very happy with how it turned out. I've never gotten a tattoo from the artist before this one but when I get more I'll definitely go to him again.

Wow thanks for all the positive comments guys! Really glad to hear everyone likes it. I was nervous going in that It wouldn't turn out too good but they made it look amazing. The picture was taken shortly after I got home with it, now it's going through the whole scabby peeling phase. I'll take another when it's fully healed.

Also, go to walgreens and get a tube of lotion for 99 cents, I don't remember exactly what kind it is but basically a hydrating healing lotion, and rub it down with it every 2 or 3 hours. Then you won't really have to worry about it itching, and it'll help the ink settle better. Don't bother with A&D ointment or neosporin like people tell you to, it honestly doesn't do much at all, it feels yucky and oily, and it takes so much of it to get a whole big piece like that sufficiently saturated. My tube of lotion has lasted me my last 4 pieces, and I've still got a good bit left.

No problem man, now that I'm home it's called Moisture Recovery lotion. It's the Walgreens store brand, and for a buck you really can't go wrong.

Thanks N1ssassa. Just picked up a tube of it today on my way home. I probably won't get much use out of it on this tattoo since it's just about healed up now. I'll save it for future tattoos

Also is there any sure fire way to get someone from Epic to see this thread? Would love to know that someone who works there sees it too.

That would be awesome! Only if it doesn't inconvenience you or anything. It's not my mission to get anything from Epic but I just want to let someone who works there or on Gears specifically that I love their series and think it's one of the best series ever made. Thanks again for all the great comments from everyone! In a few more days I should be able to post a new picture of it since it's almost done healing.

not trying to be negative but how will you explain to your kids when your older that your whole arm is covers in RIP for people who dont even exist? its an awesome tat but by the time your 50 no one will even remember this game probably

I understand what you're saying but to me, it's the same as people who get tattoos of things from books or comics. Sure, it isn't "real" but it shows how much you care for the material at hand. In 50 years, he can explain to his grandkids that these people are from a great work of fiction that he really enjoyed when he was a "youngster." I wanted to get the crimson omen tattooed somewhere on me but my wife keeps stopping me lol.

But yeah, the tattoo looks great and shows your Gears dedication.

In response to itsbenniblack. I appreciate all comments positive or negative so thank you for telling me what you really think. I have plenty of other gaming tattoos on my other arm as well so it's not that it's the only tattoo I'll have to explain. I have them from Gears of War to Earthbound and more. Lots of games have been an enthralling part of my life and have had some sort of impact on my life and the tattoos remind me of when I played these games when I was younger and the memories I have of them. Also thank you to everyone else who has responded! I'll take a new picture sometime soon since it's done healing now.

Awesome! I don't really see too many people who even know about that game. I have the Starman symbol on my left arm. Don't have a pic but you can probably imagine it. It's pretty simple, just a triangle and a few squares lol.

I loved Earthbound. The soundtrack was so unique and totally unforgettable. Beating up the Sharks at the local arcade is a fond gaming memory of mine lol.

Just got it touched up today. Because of the way it wraps around the sides of my arm it makes it kinda hard to photograph. There's some close ups though. Thanks for all the comments everyone! I appreciate them all!
