So what kinds of updates would you like to see in Gears 4?

I think it's pretty safe to say that there will be a Gears 4, there is no way Epic isn't done bringing in the cash for this franchise.
And I think it's also a pretty safe bet that Gears 4 will be on the Nextbox at some point if not a launch title.

Given that the Nextbox should be better all around what kinda of updates would you like to see?

Of course I think we will see some improvements to the graphics as the Seminarian demo was incredible.

What I'd like to see is a truly totally destructible environment.
Not only would I like to see the destruction on the building and such but I'd like to see the ground have craters from mortar strikes, grenades, boomshots and so on.

I'd like to see every bullet hole that missed an opponent.

I'd like to see the blood splatter stay and every body (or body part) of your opponent stay until the end of a round or wave.

Wouldn't it be cool to pick up a dead body (or part of one) and use it for a meatshield?
Wouldn't it be cool to take cover behind a dead boomer, mauler, bloodmount or Brumak until it disintegrates into little chunks?

God could you imagine what the carnage would look like by the end of a round or wave?

I think it would be cool if the carnage would reset after the 10th wave.
Could you imagine trying to build a fortification on part of a wall that is gone or trying to take cover there? Man that would be truly challenging.

i agree.i have a fealing its something in wrong in the code and the designers just copied and pasted the code into gears 3 hence why we have same problems

the Nextbox Gears4 will have changable button controls,
and a special ability called PUSH FRIENDLY just in case the
above quoted happens.

A way to protect against kill steals. Whoever gets the downs should get the kill no matter who actually finishes them off.

Yes... imagine the damage boomshots and diggers would do to buildings we would cover in.
This time round we would all run out of cover.

How about trying to build a fortification and being denied because there is no wall left to attach it to?
Or trying to build a turret or sentry and being denied because the ground where it used to be is just a big hole now?

I know some folks would just want to keep rebuilding but IMO that would make it feel more like a battle ground if you couldn't.

To me it would add to the desperation of trying to keep an area intact and when you couldn't you would be forced to move to another area.

I think only one base should be able to be built until it was no longer defend-able and then you could move to another area and build another.

Team needs to move quick to survive, looking for good fortified area to hide in.

ya know that is something I've always wondered about, just about all the Gears carry a knife but none of the actually use it, we saw a glimps of it at the end of the campaign but that is it, Why not have an execution or a way to kill with it?

The possibility of make-your-own map hazards. cave-in a supported structure, shoot the walls next to/around cover causing them to fall onto people. camping would become scarce and hard to do... nowhere would be safe. vulnerability from all angles. !!!!!!

- ability to tag yourself with grenades to sacrifice yourself.

- incorporate vehicles (APC, Centaurs, King Ravens)

- Incorporate the longspear.

we still have a whole fourteen years before the first gears i believe, but prequels= meh, you could always add a plot twist using sires and stuff and shielded locust deep underground where there were no lambent and was sealed off from the flooding, etc. there are many things you could do a plot farther in the future yada yada
they got tons of options
