Default So... Who is this ISA lady anyways?

We have some good storyline and theory discussion on this forum, but very little about ISA's origin's. AND she's about to be the main character! Alot of hint's about her background in IBA, mostly that she "relates" to Siris,, So any thoughts on her back story and where it's going ?

    My thoughts;
First of all, nothign is as it seems in the entire IB storyline. So she's supposedly human and out to get the blade to sell for money. Siris keeps her around and it looks like a possible romantic relationship is brewing.

Soo, the total opposite is probably what is going on..

She's trying to get the blade from the God King in IB1, claiming it's for the $$, but we soon learn that she has more noble reasons for aquiring the blade.
Raidrair watches her through his "video camera" she wears the Helm of a deathless, or one that serves. Raidrair thinks that she may not be deathless OR the ledgers do not have a record of her face (just like Siris)

She tries to kill Siris, TWICE, but he keeps her around, based on a feeling that it is the right thing to do, she later does the same by killing him before Raidrair does, then rebirthing him.

When asked how she knows so much about the deathless, she claims that she once "Stumbled" upon a rebirthing chamber. AND she knows the rebirthing process, as she brings Siris back to life in a Chamber.

Isa explains that A Deathless' child can take their immortality, therefore, it is an unspoken rule to not have children, if they do they kill them. As she is saying this, Siris Dark Thoughts, (Ausar) tell him that ISA knows Too much and she needs to be silenced.

**Siris says " I Lost my entire childhood. I'd like to live a little for myself, Does that make sense?" Isa replies, "More than you can possibly imagine," so there is some unbelievable truth to her past that is tied to Siris. (Maybe she spent her whole childhood training to shoot a crossbow and duel?)

I think that she is a descendant of Ausar's child, he loved the child, but did not trust his Dark Thoughts to kill the child. To avoid killing the child, he began the rebirthing process to erase his memories and save the child and his bloodline. That child and subsequent descendant have been in hiding from other deathless who believe that they could be just as powerful as Ausar and are trying to kill the bloodline. I think ISA is aware of Ausar and who he is. She spent her childhood in hiding and is know attempting to get the Blade so her family can stop running.

I don't think she knows that Siris is Ausar, but Siris and Isa have a deeper connection, hence, she is willing to go into the Vault of Tears to save him, and he was willing to keep her around after she tried to kill him.

That... is an awesome theory. I can see it being true. I always suspected Isa herself was part-Deathless, due to her appearing during the endgame cutscene regardless of how many years it took you to free the Worker. Your theory explains this pretty nicely.

Lazare, I do believe she is a deathless, either descendant of Ausar, or maybe, Ausar's former lover who took the same path that he did (but that would be too easy and kind of lame, storyline wise)

Anyways, to play devils advocate on my own theory,, After Siris dies the first time, it takes 2 years for him to make to the Vault... After that, the lowest amount of years between rebirth is 3 years...althought it varies between 3-6

So if my math is right, assuming all minimum years for storyline purposes it would take Siris 14 years to accomplish his goal

Siris is implied t be about 20 years old, and I'm guessing that ISA is about the same age....

Sooo, if she is mortal,, she would be around 35-40 years old,,

Although, I hope we get some explanation of what goes on in these 14 years, How is Siris rebirthed, does she sneak in and get his body? or do they use a new body every time? Obviously she (or Tel) has to man the rebirthing chamber...

Does she train for 14 years is Saydhi's staff? Or does she already know.... And if Siris can get to the Vault in 3 years, why does it take him 6 years sometimes?

LOL,, and, just thought of this,, So Siris kills Thane.. telling him that he is immortal, just before he unlocks the first "gate". Thane, being the immortal he is, is reborn and returns to the Vault to maintain his duties..... Then Siris kills Archivist (another deathless), who realizes that it is the great AUSAR and he is attempting to unlock the VAULT.... SOOOO..... this whole process takes 14 years,, maybe the deathless should round up some more deathless to stop this??? Nah there just to lazy to be bothered with the return of the "the most vile evil"

Well maybe it isn't the most vile evil
But the deathless do seem rather nonchalant about the whole situation don't they?

I love the theory- no way a 40+ year old woman could swing around a baton like they showed the cutscene.

haha, sure she could, actually just started playing NG+, and I've had a 6 month break from Archivist to Stone Demon.... Anyways, just for storyline purposes, or a new book, the whole process will probably only take a few years

Probably- i highly doubt that the creators of the game get as technical as we do.

I have a little question: in the book Isa knows how is the process of rebirth? and how is that? i mean, why they doesn't need to reborn as a baby and then grow up?

Isa claims to have "stumbled" upon a rebirthing chamber..... nothing else explained..... However just because she understands the rebirthing process it does not mean that she is a deathless... The god king has mortals (Devoted) working in his rebirthing chamber...... In the book, the god king believes that she is a servant of a Deathless....

Not sure what your asking with the last questions,, There souls , QIP, can re-enter the human body that was killed, the birthing chamber heals the body. Siris' body was burned after he was killed by ISA. ISA snuck in and took the body to the birthing chamber.

That's true. A sequel always defaults to a set value in variables from previous games - they may choose to make Isa an immortal Deathless descendant and it'll work great because you can kinda let yourself believe that it was foreshadowed in IBII, or they can define that Siris took the minimum time needed to free the worker and Isa is just there to rescue him. Either approach works, so let's sit tight and see where it all goes.
